3 Days Nyiragongo hike
this 3 days nyiragong hike grants you life time experience of hiking to the top of nyiragongo one of the few active volcanoes, you will get to see boiling lava while at the summit.
Day 1: Transfer to Gisenyi/Goma
Depending on your location in Kigali or on arrival at Kigali airport, you will meet our company representative and embark on your drive to Goma – Congo where you will meet another Congo guide who will cross with you to Goma with en-route lunch. The Congo guide will then transfer you to your booked lodge in Goma. Dinner and overnight stay at Linda Hotel/Ihusi hotel/Lake Kivu Serena hotel
Day 2: Nyiragongo hike
After breakfast, drive to Kibati – Nyiragongo headquarters which is about 15kms from Goma, you will be briefed about the hike by about 8 am before you start the hike along with your hiking gears. This is full day hike and you will be spending a night at the peak of Mount Nyiragongo given the boiling lava is best viewed in the night as trekkers can take great photographs. Dinner will be provided at the top.
Day 3: Descend Nyiragongo and drive back to Kigali
After breakfast, start descending the volcano back to the starting point where you be transferred to Goma border where you will meet your Rwanda guide who will drop you off in Kigali with en-route lunch. You will either be dropped at your provided hotel or at the airport for your onward flight back home. End of tour
