3 Days Zanzibar Safari : Zanzibar was once an active trading centre and an important port on the spice route of East Africa however today, Zanzibar Island is a relaxing, coastal location where you can spend holidays on the Indian Ocean vacation while in Africa while walking along the beaches with soft and delicate white sand sinking below your feet. The gentle waves from crystal clear waters are seemingly subdued by the unending miles of seashore that embraces its marine ecology. Looking out over the vast ocean and the shimmering turquoise waters dotted with white triangular sails of the picturesque traditional fishing dhows will take your breath away. On the north of Zanzibar, lies the Nungwi beach that is accessible with a long, winding drive through its charming, laid-back village. On the north-western side, lies Kendwa beach, a favoured trendy place for party lovers on a full moon.
Spend your beach holidays at one of the resorts in this section of the island in Zanzibar because you are likely to spot some primates like the monkeys frolicking in the trees. Matemwa beach lies in the northeast of the island. Explore a little off the coast and you will encounter the tiny isle island of Mnemba. Day 1; pick up from airport and stone town and spice tour
Upon arrival at Zanzibar airport, you will be met by your safari driver who will drop you off at your reserved Hotel in Zanzibar, check-in and have lunch before you connect to explore the spice and stone town.
The stone town tour takes you on a leisurely walk through the winding and narrow alleys and streets of Zanzibar
After lunch on the 1st day of your safari, you will explore Zanzibar on a tour around Stone town where you will experience the history and culture of Zanzibar which were originally owned built by the Arabs. Continue on your historical tour to visit the spice plantations which is just outside Zanzibar town and a good tour includes opportunities to dazzle the senses with fresh spices. You will be fascinated by the sheer number of spices produced and their incredible value for many ailments. Later evening, drive back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Zanzibar palace hotel/Flame tree Cottages
Day 2; boat ride and visit menai bay
After breakfast at the hotel, move out of the hotel to explore the various places and attractions in Zanzibar. The dhow will anchor on the shores of one of the pristine sandbanks islands and while here, you will get the opportunity to snorkel, sunbath, or even swim. You will also connect to search for the Dolphins and if you are lucky, you may as well swim close to the Dolphins.
Return to your lodge after a whole day of enjoying the water activities and relaxing at the beach. A day at the beach resort is where the hustle and bustle of everyday life fades away and relaxation becomes the priority of the day. Day 3: Fly back home – Departure
Depending on your scheduled flight back home, wake up at leisure, have breakfast then check-out of the hotel to transfer to Zanzibar airport for your onward flight back home, this marks the end of the trip.
