From Bwindi impenetrable national park you will connect to Lake Kivu where you will engage in an incredible boat cruise on the largest lake in Rwanda.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1 of the 4 days Bwindi gorilla trekking and Lake Kivu adventure
Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest, upon arrival on day 1 of the 4 days Bwindi gorilla trekking and Lake Kivu adventure you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then start the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park in southwestern Uganda. The journey takes about 3 to 4 hours drive passing via Cyanika border in Kisoro district and on your way you will have great views of the rolling hills in Rwanda, Kigezi hills, terraced farmlands, beautiful landscapes among others. Upon arrival in the park you will continue to the lodge, have dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
Gorilla trekking, after an early breakfast on day 2 of the 4 days Bwindi gorilla trekking and Lake Kivu adventure you will carry packed lunch and bottled water, meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing about the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. After the briefing you will be allocated a gorilla family to trek, a park guide who is well conversant with trails in the jungle and then start trekking. Gorilla trekking takes about 3o minutes to 7 hours depending on where they are located because the gorillas keep moving from one place to another in search of food. Once the gorillas are found you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you an opportunity to learn about their lifestyle, behaviors, take photos and record videos. After the one hour with the gorillas you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will meet up with your driver guide to transfer back to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Lake Kivu
On day 3 of the 4 days Bwindi gorilla trekking and Lake Kivu adventure you will have breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Lake Kivu in Rwanda. Lake Kivu is the largest fresh water lake situated in western part of Rwanda bordered by Goma, Bukavu, Kalehe and Cyangugu Gisenyi. Upon arrival you will participate in an amazing boat cruise where you will have spectacular views of the steep terraced hills, beautiful scenery, view the sunset, various bird species like pied and malachite kingfishers, fish eagles, majestic crowned cranes, interact with the fishermen who will be fishing on the lake in dugout canoes, engage in interesting activities along the lake shores such as swimming, sunbathing, speed boating, canoeing among others which give you unforgettable and lifetime memories. After the exciting experience on the lake you will transfer back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Departure to Kigali
On the last day of the 4 days Bwindi gorilla trekking and Lake Kivu safari you will have a relaxed breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kigali for a city tour. During the Kigali city tour you will visit Kigali genocide memorial center where you will know about brutal killing of the 1994 Rwanda genocide between the Hutus and Tutsi and also visit Kandt museum of natural history, craft centers where you will be able to buy souvenirs to take back home. After the city tour you will go for a buffet in one of the restaurants where you will taste different Rwandan dishes and then start the journey to Kigali international airport where your driver guide will drop you off for your next flight.
