This 4 days gorilla safari package highlights these two gorilla tracking experiences. This is a luxury gorilla safari because of the two gorilla safari activities.
Day 1: Pick-up and transfer to Bwindi
Depending on your location in Kampala, our company representative will pick you up and transfer you to Kisoro district, you will leave early morning since it’s a 7-8 hours’ drive to Bwindi with en route breaks at the Equator and lunch in Mbarara town. Arrive late afternoon and check-in your lodge to prepare for the next day adventure.
Overnight stay: Gorilla Safari lodge/Lake Mutanda Resort/Ichumbi Gorilla lodge
Meals: Full Board
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking-Rushaga
Breakfast will be served early and lunch will be packed, drive to the park head offices for briefing is at 7am of specific details about the way of life of the gorillas. The hike can take anything from 2-8 hours through the steep, densely forested hills and then finally coming across the gorillas depending on the movement of the creatures. Once you reach the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them.
Upon completion of this magical encounter, you will walk back to the starting point where you will meet your driver and drive back to your lodge, spend the rest of the evening relaxing at the lodge or go for an optional community tour. Dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above.
Day 3: Second Gorilla Trekking – Mgahinga Gorilla national park
Today you will enjoy a second gorilla trek in a Mgahinga Gorilla national park, you will trek the only existing gorilla group in Mgahinga, this gorilla trek gives you the same experience as trekking in Volcanoes national park in Rwanda since both parks on the Virunga Mountains. The procedures will be the same as those of the first gorilla trekking. Set off for briefing point after an early breakfast. Once the gorillas are located, spend an hour with them then return to your lodge.

Meals: Full Board
Day 4: Return to Kampala/Entebbe and departure
Depart the lodge and head back to Kampala / Entebbe, depending on your flight departure time, the driver will drop you off at the airport to find your waiting flight back home.
