5 Days Kidepo National Park Tour
This 5 days kidepo national park tour sees you to kidepo valley national park one of the most unspoiled parks in Uganda, filled with wildlife some of which cannot be traced in other national parks in Uganda. Mingle with the Karimojong another way of experiencing the rich and diverse Uganda cultures.
Day 1: Transfer – Kampala to Gulu
Have breakfast and begin your journey to Gulu town in Northern Uganda; this is an interesting drive on a smooth road and there are a number of optional activities en-route notable among them being a visit to Zziwa Rhino sanctuary. Have lunch en-route and proceed to Gulu arriving in the afternoon.

Day 2: Gulu to Kidepo Valley National Park – Game drive in Narus
Breakfast will be served early and embark on your journey to Kidepo Valley National Park. This is a 3 to 4 hours drive with eye-catching sites along the way including the Mantattas (small grass thatched houses) and the scenic views of the hills which separate the lands of Acholi and Karamoja.
You will also cross some seasonal rivers and arrive Kidepo Valley National Park well in time for Lunch and an evening game drive in the Narus valley. Narus valley is known to posses the largest buffalo herds than anywhere else in the entire world. There are also high chances of spotting big cats on a hunt and on a lucky day; you may spot the rare cheetahs too which are endemic to Kidepo in the whole of Uganda. Head back to the lodge for lunch and embark on an evening game drive in the Narus valley again.

Day 3: Game drive and Hot springs visit in Kidepo Valley
Enjoy breakfast and briefly visit the Narus valley for another game drive. The park has great observation points with binoculars and you will be happy to use them and you can never have enough of a game drive in this park! Return to the lodge for lunch and unwind a bit before embarking on a drive to Kidepo valley close to south Sudan boarder to visit the hot springs where you will encounter different bird species especially Ostriches within the region although their numbers are highly threatened by poaching by south Sudanese. Return to the lodge in the evening, dinner will be served and spend another night at Apoka Safari lodge/Kidepo Savannah lodge as above
Day 4: Transfer back to Gulu.
Very early after breakfast, depart Kidepo to return for an overnight in Gulu town with en route lunch. Dinner and overnight stay at Bomah Hotel
Day 5: Transfer back to Kampala
Have breakfast and drive back to Kampala with en route lunch. Arrive early afternoon and depending on your departure schedules, you will be dropped off at the airport for your onward flight. End of tour
