Detailed itinerary
Day 1; pick up and drive to Lake Manyara national park
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and welcome you for your 5 days Serengeti wildlife safari. You will proceed to Lake Manyara national park where you will begin your wildlife viewing experiences. This national park is known for being home to the rare tree climbing lions, its diverse scenery as well as having large herds of elephants. A big part of the national park is also covered by Lake Manyara which is an attraction in the national park.
You will have a stop in Mto wa mbu town where you will interact with the local community and see local arts and crafts on your way to Lake Manyara national park where you will check in and have lunch at your lodge. After lunch you will engage in a game drive to search for wildlife species such as antelopes, lions, leopards, buffalos, waterbucks, baboons, monkeys among others. After your game drive, you will proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Twiga lodge.
Day 2; drive to Serengeti national park
Breakfast will be served at your lodge as you prepare for your transfer to Serengeti national park to enjoy more wildlife viewing experiences as you explore the endless savannah plains of Serengeti in search of wildlife species like the big 5 such as elephants, rhinos, lions, leopards and buffalos. You will have lunch after checking in at your lodge in the national park as you prepare for an afternoon game drive.
You will enjoy driving in Serengeti national park as you search for wildlife species such as giraffes, hippos, cheetahs, zebras, antelopes, gazelles, impalas, kudu, dik dik, hyenas among others. After the afternoon game drive, you will return to your lodge for dinner and to spend the night at Osinon camps and lodges.
Day 3; full day in Serengeti national park
You will start your day with breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti national park as you prepare to engage in morning and afternoon game drives in the national park. You will explore the savannah plains in search of the national park and look out for wildlife species such as wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, gazelles, waterbucks, kudu, dik dik, cheetahs, giraffes, impalas, hyenas among others. You will have lunch after your morning game drive in Serengeti national park.
After lunch, you will engage in another game drive to search for the different wildlife species in the oldest national park of Tanzania. You will enjoy the beautiful landscape in the national park and views of the dotted landscape which is home to over 4000 lions of Serengeti national park as well as many other wildlife species. You will return to your lodge for dinner and to spend the night as the day before at Osinon camps and lodges.
Day 4; drive to Ngorongoro conservation area
On the 4th day of your 5 days Serengeti wildlife safari, you will have breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti national park ahead of your drive to Ngorongoro conservation area. You will visit the world’s largest inactive caldera during your safari in search of wildlife species such as elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos and rhinos which can be seen in the Ngorongoro crater. You will descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater where you will enjoy the amazing views during your game drive.
You will also see flamingos along the shores of Lake Magadi as well as hippos as you explore the Ngorongoro crater during your game drive. Other wildlife species which can be spotted in the crater during a safari include cheetahs, antelopes, wildebeests, zebras, impalas, gazelles, hyenas, warthogs, waterbucks, elands among others. Your dinner and overnight will be at Hhando coffee lodge.
Day 5; drive to Arusha
You will enjoy breakfast at your lodge as you prepare to be driven back to Arusha where your guide will drop you off at your hotel or at the airport and this will bring your 5 days Serengeti wildlife safari to an end.
