Enjojo Lodge
Enjojo lodge is both budget and mid-range accommodation found in the gates of the Ishasha sector (2km outside the gate) in Queen Elizabeth national park in western Uganda near the historical town of Fort portal in districts of Kasese, Kamwengye, Rubirizi, and Rukungiri. The lodge was named Enjonjo because, during the construction of the lodge, there was the birth of many elephants in the area. The park occupies the total area 1,987 km squared You can be at the lodge by either road or air transport . its approximately 6-7 hour drive(410km) from Kampala City to the park and 2 hours and 30 minutes flight from Entebbe to the nearby airstrip in Queen Elizabeth by Aero link.
Enjojo lodge consists of 16 beautiful rooms in different categories of grass-thatched cottages, safari houses suitable for families, bamboo huts and canvas tents along with good camping ground where travelers on Camping safaris in Uganda can pitch their tent. Cottage rooms are well furnished with privacy and tranquility. Each cottage room has en-suite private facilities like flushing toilets, mosquito nets, and hot running showers and tents offers outdoor showers Campers can also use our outdoor showers made of rocks and clean toilet facilities. cottage rooms are well equipped with Satellite, TVs, extinguishers, etc. Rooms have verandas and sitting areas, you relax while enjoying the good breathtaking view of African wilderness and the surrounding area. Excellent and comfortable beddings. There are fireplaces at the lodge that provides warmth to visitors staying at the lodges. Rooms are in different categories i.e. single, double and triple rooms and rooms cost 150$ per night and above
The park is the second-largest and most visited national park in Uganda. It extends from Lake George in the north-East to Lake Edward in the south-west and includes the Kazinga Channel connecting the two lakes. It’s the wide channel in Uganda with 32 kilometers long. The park has a variety of flora and fauna over 95 mammals and 612 species of bird which attract more tourists. The lodge is friendly and affordable to the tourists visiting the park. There are different accommodations in Queen Elizabeth National Park categorized in budget, mid-range and luxury accommodations. Queen Elizabeth National Park has different activities which include Game viewing where you can spot different animals in the park, like buffaloes, elephants, leopard, impalas, antelopes, zebras and many in kasenyi sector and tree climbing lions in ishasha sector, Boat cruise at Kazinga Channel that enables visitors to spot aquatic animals like Hippos ,Crocodiles etc. bird watching , chimpanzee tracking ,forest walk in Kalinzu forest, caving, Hiking, mining at lake katwe, community walks and biking and many more activities.
