Rhino Valley Lodge

Rhino Valley Lodge is a mid-range accommodation found inside Tsavo west national park just close to the main gate mtito, just 40km. One can use road transport from Nairobi International airport since it’s the gateway destination to the different national parks in Kenya which takes approximately 5-6 hours drive ( 405 Km) from Nairobi to the park and also air transport from Nairobi which takes 2 hours to fly to the nearest airstrip in the park. The lodge is convenient and friendly to visitors visiting the lodge with its beautiful view of the park, animals visiting the park and surrounding area.

Rhino Valley lodge contains sixteen spacious and comfortable en suite rooms that are built in traditional African style with grass thatched roof with modern comfort. Rooms are well decorated and furnished with private en suite facilities like flushing toilets, hot and cold showers/Bathtubs, mosquito nets, hair driers, and private Verandas, terraces and sitting areas, you relax while enjoying the stunning view of the waterhole and animals visiting the park and surrounding area. Rooms are well equipped with Satellite, TVs, extinguishers with comfortable clean beddings and ceiling fans. There are fireplaces at the lodge that provides warmth to visitors staying at the lodges. Rooms are in different categories like single, double, twin and triple/family rooms and room cost 200$ per night and above. Note that in High season the rate goes slightly high than in Low season.

Tsavo national park is the best tourist destination made of two parks located in Kenya Province between Nairobi city and Mombasa , The park is considered to be among the largest parks in Kenya covering the total area of 22,000km squared .  The two different parks in Tsavo national park include; Tsavo east national park which is the oldest and largest park in Kenya found in the semi-arid areas of Taru desert occupying the total area of 13,747 kilometers squared and Tsavo west national park also covers the total area of 9,065 kilometers squared . Tsavo west national park was separated by railway and Nairobi- Mombasa road from adjoining Tsavo east national park. The two parks are most visited with different categories of accommodations; Budget, Mid-range and Luxury accommodation that are convenient and affordable to visitors visiting the park. Tsavo national park has a variety of wildlife like; Huge number of Elephants, Rhinos, Hippos, Buffaloes, Zebras, Leopards, Giraffes, Cheetahs, Lions Etc and over 500 species of birds like; ostriches, starling, weaver birds, Kingfishers, hornbills, etc.

There are more activities to do while in the park and at the lodge which includes, game viewing in the park which enables  you to spot different animals in the park and the elephants visiting the lodge,  nature walks in the park, Hot air balloon rides that gives good view of the Savannah plains at 450$ per person, handcraft safaris, Camping, Flying safaris, cultural visits in the villages,  Farm visits, Horseback riding in the park, Bird watching/Birding since the park has more species bird, the watchers can’t be disappointed, Visiting Mzima Springs, mountain climbing e.g, Ngulia hill.
