Day 1 of the 3 days Bwindi gorilla habituation experience from Kigali
Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park, depending on the time of arrival at Kigali international airport on the first day of your 3 days Bwindi gorilla habituation from Kigali, you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then start the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park in south western part of Uganda. On your way you will have en-route lunch and spectacular views of the rolling hills in Rwanda, beautiful landscape, Kigezi hills, traditional homesteads among others. You will pass via Cyanika border in Kisoro and continue to Bwindi impenetrable national park which takes about 3 to 4 hours drive. Upon arrival you will continue to the lodge, check in, have dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla habituation experience in Bwindi impenetrable national park
Gorilla habituation experience, after an early breakfast on the second day of your 3 days Bwindi gorilla habituation experience from Kigali, you will carry packed lunch, meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the starting point for a briefing about the rules, regulations and expectations of gorilla habituation. After the briefing you will head into the jungle with a team of researchers, conservationist, guides among others in search of the gorillas under habituation process. Gorilla habituation is a process where the wild gorillas are trained to get used to human presence for trekking. The habituation experience is only carried out in Bwindi impenetrable national park in Rushaga sector situated in the southern part of the park.
During trekking you will be able to view various wildlife species including forest birds, primates like monkeys, baboons, animals like forest elephants, warthogs among others. once the gorillas are found you will be allowed to spend four days with them which gives you an opportunity to learn more about their behaviors, habits, monitor their movements, watch them carry out their daily activities, participate in giving them names, take photos and record videos with a flash less camera which gives you exciting and lifetime experiences. After spending four hours with the gorillas under habituation process you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Departure to Kigali
On the last day of your 3 days Bwindi gorilla habituation from Kigali you will have a relaxed breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kigali. You will pass via cyanic border in Kisoro district and have great views on the way which will make your journey exciting. Upon arrival you will have lunch and then go for a city tour in Kigali where you will visit the genocide memorial centre. During the city tour you will get an opportunity to know more about the 1994 Rwanda genocide which lead to the death of many people. After the city tour you will start the journey to Kigali international airport where your guide will drop you off you’re your next flight.
