3 days Lake Manyara safari is one of the shortest wildlife adventures in Tanzania. The safari will take you to Lake Manyara national park where you will have amazing views of the wildlife species such as the tree-climbing lions, elephants, buffaloes, Masai giraffes, zebras, impalas, cheetahs, hippos, bird species like flamingos among others and all these can be viewed during the game drives.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1 of the 3 days Lake Manyara safari
- Arrival and transfer to Lake Manyara safari, depending on the time of arrival on the first day of the 3 days Lake Manyara safari, our driver guide will pick you up from Arusha, brief you about the safari and then go for lunch in one of the nearby hotels. After lunch you will start the journey to Lake Manyara national park which is located in the southwestern part of Arusha. The journey takes about 2 hours drive and upon arrival in the park you will check into the lodge and prepare for an optional canoeing on Lake Manyara. The canoe ride takes about 1 to 2 hours and during the activity you will have spectacular views of different animals such as buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, along the shores of the lake, hippos in water, bird species like flamingos, fish eagles, enjoy beautiful scenery among others. After the breathtaking canoe ride you will meet up with your driver guide to return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Full day game drive in Lake Manyara national park
- Full day game drive: After breakfast on the second day of the 3 days Lake Manyara safari, you will carry packed lunch and meet up with your driver guide to go for a full day game drive in the park. During the morning game drive you will be able to spot animals like elephants, buffaloes, zebras, impala, warthogs, waterbucks, wildebeest, giraffes, bird species like crowned eagles, silvery cheecked hornbills, crested guinea fowl among others. After the morning game drive you will have your packed lunch or drive back to the lodge for lunch and refreshment. after lunch you will meet up with your driver guide and go for an afternoon game drive where you will have views of large concentrations of baboons, the tree climbing lions which are only found in Lake Manyara national park and Queen Elizabeth national park in Uganda, other animals like hippos, warthogs, klipspringer, buffaloes, take beautiful pictures of the sunset among others. After the game drive you will drive out of the park and return to your lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Morning game drive and departure to Arusha
- Morning game drive, after breakfast on the last day of the 3 days Lake Manyara safari your driver guide will pick you up to go for another morning game drive in the park where you will be able to view the predators going back to their hiding areas and other animals that you will have missed during the previous game drive. After the interesting game drive you will return to the lodge for lunch.
- Departure to Arusha, after lunch you will check out of the lodge and your driver guide will pick you up to start the journey to Arusha and upon arrival you will be dropped off at any place of convenience or drop off at the airport for your departure flight.
