Samburu Simba Lodge
Samburu Simba Lodge is a luxury accommodation (5 stars)found in the south of Ewaso Nyiro River in Kenya country in Samburu national park. The lodge is located 300km north of Nairobi. The lodge has attractive and spectacular view of the park ,distant hill and Mount Kenya. You can be at the lodge either by road or air transport. It takes 350km (6hr drive from Nairobi to the lodge and 45- 50 minutes flight from Nairobi to Shaba or new oryx airstrip then 10 minutes drive from airstrip to the lodge. Simba lodges have different branches in different parts of Africa.

Samburu Simba lodge consists of 20 well spaced luxury cottages which reflects the local building style with grass thatched roof , mosquito nets, flat screen TVS, hair driers and private balconies and sitting areas ,you relax while enjoying the stunning view of the distant hills and mount Kenya . En-suite bathrooms rooms offer flushing toilet, bath tabsshower with hot and cold running water. Rooms are well decorated and furnished with queen sized beds . Rooms are well equipped with Satellite , TVs, extinguishers and other facilities . Rooms are equipped with excellent and comfortable beddings. There are fire places at the lodge that provides warmth to visitors during nights at the lodges. Rooms are in different categories; single ,double , twin and triple/ family rooms and rooms cost 400$ per night and above ( note that high season rate is different to low season rate).
Samburu national park is among the less known parks and smallest park found in the northern part near Ewaso Ng’iro river in Kenya in Samburu country .The park occupies the total area of 165 square kilometers and 350 km from Nairobi. Samburu country is found in the former rift valley of Kenya. The park is the home of various animals over 200 mammals like; Giraffes, Buffaloes , Elephants , Big cats, leopards, lions , zebras Warthogs , olive baboons etc and 390 species of birds which include; Sun birds , bee –eaters , sunbirds, Tawny Eagles , Grey headed kingfisher , Yellow-billed hornbill and many more birds.
