Turaco Tree Top Lodge
Turaco tree top lodge is a mid-range accommodation found in the heart of Kibale forest national park the best primates destination. The lodge has the best view of Kibale forest and snow capped peak of Rwenzori. The lodge is set on 5.2 acres of land and its the good place for chimpanzee trekking since its at the edge of the park. The lodge has attractive and spectacular view of the park and Rwenzori mountain. You can be at the lodge either by road or air transport. It takes 4-5hr drive from kampala to the lodge.

Turaco tree top lodge consists of eight( 8) spacious and elegant cottages which reflects the local building style with grass thatched roof with modern comfort . Rooms are well furnished and decorated with en suite facilities like flushing toilets, hot and cold shower/bathtubs, mosquito nets, satelites, extinguishers flat screen TVS, hair driers , private balconies and sitting areas ,you relax while enjoying the stunning view of the distant mountain and kibale forest .. Rooms are equipped with excellent and comfortable bedding with king sized bed. There are fire places at the lodge that provides warmth to visitors during nights. Rooms are in different categories; single ,double , twin and triple/ family rooms and rooms cost 200$ per night and above ( note that high season rate is different to low season rate)
Kibale National park is situated in the south of fort portal tourism city in Western uganda covering the total area of 766 square kilometers. The park is basically the best destination for primate viewing and birding. It is the home of various chimpanzee over 1500 in kibale and in the whole world its about 5000 chimpanzees, with over 13 primate species , few mammals and over 300 species of birds which include; Sunbirds, bee-eaters, sunbirds, Tawny Eagles , Grey-headed kingfisher, Yellow-billed hornbill and many more birds.
