Sagala Lodge | Tsavo National Park
Sagala Lodge is a mid-range accommodation found in the heart of Elephant country in savannah grassland of Tsavo national park just 3km from the entrance in Kenya country. It’s also 8 km off the main highway connecting Nairobi city to Mombasa. One can use road transport from Nairobi International airport since it’s the gateway destination to different national park in Kenya which takes approximately 7 hours drive ( 339 Km) from Nairobi to the park and also air transport from Nairobi which takes 2 hours to fly to Tsavo airstrip as the nearest airstrip. The camp is convenient and affordable to visitors visiting the park with its beautiful view of the volcanic outcrops like sagalla and Mwakingali hills, park ,river and surrounding area.
Sagala lodge contains 25 beautiful and luxurious tents where 13 tents have view of the river and 11 tents offers park view reflecting traditional African building style with Grass thatched roofs and local stones . Tents are well decorated and furnished with private en suite facilities like flushing toilets, hot and cold showers/Bathtubs, mosquito nets, hair driers and private wooden balconies, terraces and sitting areas ,you relax while enjoying the stunning view of the Tsavo river ,distant hills, park and surrounding area . Rooms are well equipped with Satellite , flat screen TVs, extinguishers with comfortable clean beddings with king and queen sized beds and ceiling fans. There are campfires at the lodge that provides warmth to visitor in cold nights. Rooms are in different categories like ; single ,double ,twin and triple/family rooms and room cost 300$ per night and above . Note that in High season the rate goes slightly high than in Low season.

Tsavo national park is the largest national park in the world covering the total area of 22,000km squared and its divided into two separate parks located in Kenya Province between Nairobi city and Mombasa. The two different parks in Tsavo national park include; Tsavo east national park which is the oldest and largest park in Kenya found in the semi arid areas of Taru desert occupying the total area of 13,747 kilometers squared and Tsavo west national park also covers the total area of 9,065 kilometers squared . The Two park are most visited with different categories of accommodations ; Budget , Mid range and Luxury accommodation that are convenient and affordable to visitors visiting the park. Tsavo national park has a variety of wildlife like; Elephants, Rhinos, Hippos, Buffaloes, Zebras , Leopards, Giraffes Cheetahs, Lions Mention but a few and over 500 species of birds which include; ostriches, starling , weaver birds, Kingfishers, hornbills etc. There are more activities to do while in the park and at the lodge which include; , game drive in the park which enables you to spot different animals in the park and the lions visiting the camp , nature walks in the park, Hot air balloon rides that gives good view of the Savannah plains at 450$ per person , hand craft safaris, Camping ,Flying safaris, cultural visits in the villages, Farm visits , Horseback riding in the park, Bird watching/Birding since the park has more species bird ,the watchers cant be disappointed, Nature walks etc. The park has some other attractions like; Rolling rock , Mzima springs, safaris Moru Kopjes, Tsavo river and many others.
