Sabache Camp | Samburu National Reserve
Sabache camp is a mid-range accommodation ( 3 stars)found in the private wildlife reserve and conservancy of Samburu in Samburu national park in Kenya. The camp is owned and operated by Samburu indigenous tribe . The camp is set in the private nature that spreads over 500 square miles of kenya’s wilderness . it offers attractive and interesting shaped view of the hills, water hole ,park and surrounding areas. You can be at the camp either by road or air transport which takes about 350 kilo meters drive from Nairobi to the lodge and 45- 50 minutes flight from Nairobi to close samburu airstrip .
Sabache camp consists of 8 (eight) elegant and comfortable tent which reflects the African traditional building style with grass thatched roof and local woods, with modern comfort . Tents are equipped with mosquito nets, flat screen TVS, satelites, hair driers and private wooden balconies , veranda and sitting areas ,you relax while overlooking the watering hole and enjoying the stunning view of the distant white caped -mount Kenya , elephants around the lodge and surrounding areas. . En-suite bathrooms rooms offer flushing toilet, bathtub/shower with hot and cold running water. Rooms are well decorated and furnished with queen sized beds . Tents are equipped with excellent and comfortable beddings. There are fire places/ campfires at the lodge that provides warmth to visitors during nights at the lodges. Rooms are in different categories; single ,double , twin and triple/ family rooms and rooms cost 200$ per night and above ( note that high season rate is different to low season rate)

Samburu national park is among the less-known parks and smallest park found in the northern part near Ewaso Ng’iro river in Kenya in Samburu country. The park occupies the total area of 165square kilometers and 345 km from Nairobi. Samburu country is found in the former rift valley of Kenya. The park is the home of various animals over 200 mammals like; Giraffes, Buffaloes, Elephants, Big cats, leopards, lions, zebras Warthogs, olive baboons etc and 390 species of birds which include; Sunbirds, bee-eaters , sunbirds, Tawny Eagles , Grey headed kingfisher , Yellow-billed hornbill and many more birds. Samburu are sub tribe of the masaai , they are Nilotic people of North –central Kenya. They are semi-nomadic pastoralists with herds of cattle , goat, sheep and camel.
