Entrance Fees of Kidepo Valley National Park 2021
Entrance fees of Kidepo valley national park 2021 are payments that every visitor pays at the main gates in order to access the park and participate in different interesting activities. Kidepo valley national park is Uganda’s most magnificent national park that is located in the remote Karamoja region in north eastern corner at Uganda’s border with Sudan and Kenya. The national park offers activities like game drives, guided nature walks, bird watching, mountain climbing among others and harbors abundant wildlife species including animals like the big four out of the big five mammals which are elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, other animals like giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, hyenas, wild dogs, oribi, elands, Jacksons hartebeest, waterbucks, bushbucks, bush duikers, Uganda kobs, klipspringer, bat eared fox, side striped jackal, greater and lesser kudu, bohor reedbucks, guethers dikdik, aardwold, caracal, birds like kori bustard, ostrich, Karamoja apalis, red and yellow barbet, little bee-eater, pygmy falcon among others.
Entrance fees of Kidepo valley national park 2021 are set by the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) a government body that is in charge of tourism and conservation in Uganda and they are as follows.
Note:
All visitors will be required to present valid identification documents to confirm their resident status. A day’s entrance permit is valid for 24 hours from the time of entrance and extra time spent in the park after 24 hours will be charged as an extra day. Children are persons aged between 5-15 years and persons below 5 years are exempt.
Park entrance fees
- Adults
Foreign non resident adult is charged USD 40, Foreign resident adult is charged USD 30 and an East African citizen adult is charged UGX 20,000
- Children
Foreign non resident children are charged USD 20 per child, foreign resident children are charged USD 10 per child and East African children are charged UGX 5,000 per child
- Ugandan pupils or students are charged UGX 3,000 per person
- Tertiary institutions/universities are charged UGX 5,000 per person
- Uganda wildlife clubs are charged UGX 2,000 per person
Annual park entrance passes
Annual park entrance passes for vehicles are paid separately and foreign residents require a work permit valid for one year to qualify for an annual pass.
- Individual
A foreign resident is charged USD 350 and an East African citizen is charged UGX 150,000
- Couple
Foreign resident couple is charged USD 500 and East African citizen couple is charged UGX 200,000
- Family (maximum 4 children)
Foreign resident family is charged USD 700 and East African citizen family is charged UGX 300,000
- Annual corporate pass
Foreign residents are charged USD 1,500 and East African citizens are charged UGX 2,500,000
An East African citizen safari guide is charged UGX 100,000
An East African citizen driver guide is charged UGX 100,000
An East African citizen tour company driver enters for free
Guided game drives (private)
Only pre-registered vehicles will undertake night game drives in Kidepo valley national park and use of UWA guides is mandatory for night game drive.

Visitors who want to use UWA Executive buses are charged UGX 800,000 per day and the fee includes the driver, excludes fuel.
Guided nature walk and birding

Foreign non residents, foreign residents are charged USD 30 per person and East African citizens are charged UGX 10,000 per person
- Day nature walk
Foreign non residents, foreign residents are charged USD 15 per person and East African citizens are charged UGX 10,000 per person
East African citizen student guided walk (per 6 people) is UGX 10,000
Mountain activities
- Kidepo Lonyili summit hike
Foreign non residents, foreign residents are charged USD 50 per person and East African citizens are charged 50,000 per person.
Kidepo Lonyili summit hike fee excludes the tent and porter who will be carrying your backpack.
Entry and landing fees for vehicle, boat
- Motor-cycles for foreign residents are charged USD 30 per entry and UGX 10,000 for East African citizens
- Saloon cars for foreign residents are charged USD 40 per entry and UGX 20,000 for East African citizens
- Minibuses, omnibuses for foreign residents are charged USD 50 per entry and UGX 30,000 for East African citizens
- Pick-ups for foreign residents are charged USD 50 per entry and UGX 30,000 for East African citizens
- Tour company vehicles and 4 wheel drive for foreign residents are charged USD 150 per entry and UGX 30,000 for East African citizens
- Over Landers for foreign residents are charged USD 150 per entry and UGX 100,000 for East African citizens
- Buses and lorries for foreign residents are charged USD 150 per entry and UGX 150,000 for East African citizens
- School buses for East African citizens are charged UGX 50,000 per entry
- Delivery vehicles for East African citizens are charged UGX 20,000 per entry
Aircraft landing fees
Aircraft landing fees exclude entry fees payable by passengers and pilots en-route do not pay entry fees if they spend less than 2 hours in the park.
- Glinders, Microlights for foreign residents is charged USD 10 per landing and UGX 20,000 for East African citizens
- Up to 3 seater aircraft for foreign residents is charged USD 20 per landing and UGX 40,000 for East African citizens
- 4 to 6 seater aircraft for foreign residents is charged USD 30 per landing and UGX 60,000 for East African citizens
- 7 to 14 seater aircraft for foreign residents is charged USD 40 per landing and UGX 80,000 for East African citizens
- 15 to 20 seater aircraft for foreign residents is charged USD 50 per landing and UGX 100,000 for East African citizens
- 21 seats and above aircraft for foreign residents is charged USD 60 per landing and UGX 120,000 for East African citizens
- Helicopters for foreign non residents are charged USD 100 per landing, USD 125 for foreign non residents and UGX 250,000 for East African citizens.
East African citizen aircrafts are charged UGX 10,000 parking fees per day.
