Boundary Hill Lodge | Tarangire National Park
Boundary Hill Lodge is a mid-range accommodation found outside Tarangire national park in Northern Tanzania, above the rocks on the hill and at the edge of the park. The lodge is 22km from the center of Tarangire national park. One can reach the lodge by road transport from Arusha city, which takes approximately 2-3 hours (180 km) to the park, or by flying 30 minutes from Arusha to a nearby Kuro airstrip, followed by a 45-minute drive from the airstrip to the lodge.
The lodge is affordable and convenient for visitors to the park, offering panoramic views of the hills, cliffs, wildlife, and surrounding area.
Boundary Hill Lodge consists of over 15 elegant and comfortable rooms that are harmoniously built in a traditional African style using natural materials, creating a cozy environment with modern comforts. Rooms are well decorated, elevated, and furnished with private en suite facilities such as flushing toilets, separate hot and cold showers, mosquito nets, glass sliding windows, towel trollies, private wooden balconies, verandas, and sitting areas. You can relax while enjoying the stunning views of the hills, rocks in the cliffs, Tarangire plains, and the surrounding area.
The rooms are unparalleled and well-equipped with satellite flat-screen TVs, extinguishers, comfortable clean bedding with queen beds, and ceiling fans. There are campfires at the lodge that provide warmth to visitors during the night.
Rooms are available in different categories and sizes: single, double, twin, and triple/family rooms, with prices starting at $200 per night and above. Note that in High season the rate goes slightly higher than in Low season.

Tarangire national park is considered to be the sixth largest park in Tanzania, a country found southeast of Manyara national park in the Northern part of Tanzania. The name of the park comes from the Tarangire River, which crosses the park and is the only source of fresh water for animals in the Tarangire ecosystem.
It occupies the total area of 2,850 km² and is 150 km from Arusha. The park is small with twenty-six mammals and is famous for large herd of big five animals like; Buffaloes , elephants, zebras, wildebeest, Rhinos Impalas ,antelopes, mention but a few, and 500 bird species like yellow-necked, helmeted, barbet, starling, swift, stripped swallows, etc.

There are more different activities to do while in the Park which include; Game viewing, you spot different animals in the park , Visiting Tarangire River , Cultural visits in the local village, Camping , Bird watching/Birding since the park has more bird species ,Boat trip at Tarangire river , sightseeing trips; hot air balloon riding etc. It’s $60 to enter the park. Dry season is the best period to visit tarangire national park as animals are migrating in June-September, hence giving a chance to see some of the animals.
