ENTUSI RESORT AND RETREAT CENTER -KABALE
Entusi resort and retreat center-Kabale is considered to be a mid range accommodation found on the quiet peninsular along the shore of lake bunyonyi ( the forth deepest lake in Africa) in southern Uganda region close to Bwindi forest impenetrable national park . The resort is 11 km from Kabale market and 15 minutes boat ride to access it on lake bunyonyi.
It takes approximately 6-7 hour drive (450kmsquared) from Kampala to the lodge by road via masaka – Mbarara -kabale and 1 hrs from Entebbe to Kihihi airstrip by Aerolink when using air transport . Kihihi and kisoro airstrips are the closest airstrip in bwindi . it also takes an hour drive from Kigali to the lodge. The resort is convenient and a perfect place to reflect, recharge and relax while overlooking the panoramic views of the lake and surrounding areas.
Entusi resort and Retreat Center consists of 10 spacious and comfortable rooms all with the view of the lake reflecting local traditional building style with grass thatched roof and local woods . Rooms are well elevated and furnished with private facilities of clean flushing toilets , inside hot showers, Mosquito net , complementary bottled water, wooden chair and table, Television, solar energy and other facilities. Rooms have wooden private balconies, sitting areas and terraces to relax in while enjoying the beautiful breathtaking view of lake and surrounding Highlands.
Each room is equipped with Excellent and comfortable clean beds with clean and washed beddings. There are fire places at the resort where guests relax and share the experiences about the safaris not only that it also provides warmth to visitors . Rooms are in different categories and sizes depending on single ,double, Twin Triple and family rooms with different cost ranging from 200$ per night and above .

Lake Bunyonyi is the best place to visit found in south western part of Uganda between Kisoro and Kabale town near the border of Rwanda. Lake Bunyonyi is 25km long and 7km Wide with a maximum depth of 900 meters that made it to be considered as the forth deepest lake in Africa .
There are different activities to do while in lake Bunyonyi which include; bird watching while at the lodge , nature walks in local villages and mountain climbing and hiking since the place is surrounded by many highland , swimming at lake bunyonyi, boating at the lake , biking , Cultural tours in the local villages , canoeing , you can also do golden monkey tracking in Mgahinga , Gorilla trekking experience in bwindi national park and many more activities.
Lake bunyonyi has over 29 islands like Bushara island, Akampene island, Kyahungye, Bwama and Bucuranuka islands and surrounded by few terraced hillside. Lake bunyonyi is the place of many little birds. The lake was formed 10,000 years ago through the process of formation as a result of lava flow that emerged from one of the Virunga mountains and managed to occupy Ndego river .Lake bunyonyi has different accommodation like; budget , midrange and luxury accommodation which are affordable and convenient to guests visiting Bunyonyi The lake is free from Birlharzia and safe for swimming with fantastic breathtaking and great view to visitors.
