Tembo safari lodge is a mid- range accommodation found in the famous queen Elizabeth national park overseeing Kazinga Channel (one of the park’s marvelous wanders harboring a lots of wildlife and birds) Uganda . Tembo safari lodge is found off Ntungamo -Katunguru Road and 22 miles from the Close Kasese airstrip. Tembo is a Swahili word meaning Elephant in other words there are many elephants around the lodge . One can be at the lodge by road taking approximately 5-6 hours (384km) drive from Kampala via Mbrarara –Bushenyi to queen Elizabeth national park and from Kampala via fort portal its 407km. its an hour flight to Kasese airstrip from Entebbe international airport them few minutes to be transferred to the lodge. The lodge is convenient and affordable to budget guests who want to explore the park with its stunning views of Kazinga channel, Wildlife especially elephants that visit the lodge , tree climbing lions in Ishasha sector to mention but a few while on Uganda Safaris.
Tembo safari lodge is comprised of 10 spacious and comfortable rooms with the views of Kazinga Channel built in African traditional art with grass thatched roof and local woods .
Rooms are well furnished and decorated to meet guest’s personal fondness with mosquito nets , flushing toilets , hot and cold showers, free bottled water, free toiletries ,chairs and tables in the rooms etc. Each room has sitting areas ,terraces and wooden balconies that gives a panoramic view of Kazinga channel , the Park and other surrounding areas. The Lodge has excellent and comfortable clean beddings with king sized bed. Rooms varies in different sizes in Singles, double, twin and family cottages with costs ranging from 200$ and above per night per person.
Tembo safari lodge offers different facilities and services which include ; Restaurant in the main building that serves as the main restaurant with delicious meal that meets visitors choice both local and international meals ; breakfasts in the bush , Picnic lunch and dinner served by well trained and organized staff. They also serve dinners in the bush.

Queen Elizabeth national park is the second largest and most visited national park found in western Uganda near historical town of Fort portal (Tourism city) in districts of Kasese, Kamwengye, Rubirizi and Rukungiri. The park occupies the total area of 987 km squared .The park extends from Lake George in the north-east to Lake Edward in the south-west and includes the Kazinga Channel connecting the two lakes. It’s the wide channel in Uganda with 32 kilometers long. There are different accommodations in Queen Elizabeth national park; budget ,mid range and luxury accommodations. The park has the variety of flora and fauna over 100 mammals and 612 species of bird which attract more tourists.
