You will have a mountain gorilla trekking experience that will start early in the morning on the day of the trek. You will wake up pretty early have breakfast and prepare for your trekking experience. These treks usually like after the briefing and everything will begin by 7 am latest; this is to make sure you catch the gorilla in the place they slept in before they move and to have a moderately easy trek when the sun is not so hot. You will trek for about 3 to 4 hours before you get to where the mountain gorillas are. When you get to the gorillas you will spend an hour with them and then exit the forest to the headquarters where you will get a very short debrief and a certificate for trekking.
These treks are usually done in groups of 8 and guided by the gorilla trekking ranger. On top of the mountain gorillas, you will get to experience the forest seeing numerous tree species, butterfly species and a couple of other bush animals.
You should know though that these trekking experiences are quite physical so expect a physical challenge, meaning prepare yourself ahead of time for this hike. There are rules to follow for mountain gorilla trekking experiences, so be sure to know them or ask to be acquainted with them so that you follow them while you are trekking.
These rules include but are not limited to keeping a 7-meter distance between you and the mountain gorillas, not feeding the gorillas, not trekking while you are ill because you can spread that disease to the gorillas. Don’t use flash photography, do not touch the gorillas or do anything that will harm the gorillas.
Also, something you should know is to always remain in your group and follow the leading of the trekking ranger or guide in this case.
When you get out of the forest you will head to the headquarters for a debrief and certificates then go on with your day.
The mountain gorilla trekking will happen in Uganda and from Uganda you will cross over to Kenya for the wildebeest migration and the wildlife safari. You have to note though that for the Wildebeest Migration, you need to visit in the season of the migration, it doesn’t happen all year round.

And we are assuming your tour operator or consultant will advise you on the best time to visit so that you don’t miss the migration. This means your safari will be between the months of July and October.
On the wildebeest migration experience you will get a chance to enjoy spectacular views of extensive savannahs and grasslands, water flowing on the river mara, an array of wildlife species but most of all you will witness the most exciting and dramatic crossing of the mara river by the wildebeest and other animals like the zebras and antelopes as they fight water and predators to make it to the other side. The migration Is the epitome of jungle activity. And this goes on for day like a week or so, so you will really be satisfied with the viewing experience.
From the wildebeest migration, you will now move on to the Savannah Wildlife experience where you will have game drives to view the different animals in the park, the birds and the flora. You will come up close person with the big five, the lions, buffaloes’ elephants, rhinos, leopards, other animals like the giraffes, elands, Topis, impalas and many more. You also get to enjoy the birds in the park and other creatures. Depending on the park you are visiting you will also enjoy beautiful landscape, flora and a couple of other activities done in the park.
Definitely you will realize that this safari will be a Uganda Kenya safari and you will have to visit Maasai mara for the wildebeest migration, for the other savanah wildlife experience you will have over 10 Kenya game reserves to choose from.
