Clouds mountain gorilla view lodge is a luxury accommodation found in Nkuringo sector in the southern part of Bwindi impenetrable national park. The lodge is found in the heart of the park just a walkable distance to Nkuringo trailhead (Near gorilla trekking point). You can be at the lodge either by road or air transport to Kihihi airstrip. it is approximate 550km 7 -8 hour drive from Kampala City Via Kabale –Mbarara to Bwindi impenetrable national park. The lodge is owned by wild place Africa.
Bwindi impenetrable national park is found in kanungu district in the south western part of Uganda. The park covers the total area of 330.8 km squared. Bwindi impenetrable national park is the home of more endangered mountain gorillas in Uganda. This park generates more revenue for Uganda Wildlife Authority amongst other safari parks in Uganda. There are more accommodation to stay in while in the park, Nkuringo sector; budget, Midrange, and luxury accommodation. There are 19 gorilla families in the park which are habituated. The Lodge is found in the Nkuringo sector though there are other three sectors namely Rushaga Sector, Buhoma sector and Ruhija sectors where gorilla trekking takes place. A gorilla permit in Bwindi is at 600$ but it will be at 700$ 2020 July. There are more than 386 mountain gorillas in the whole world. Uganda holds close to half of their total population, and the majority of them live in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, whereas the others are found in Mgahinga Gorilla Park. Nkuringo sector is the most visited sector and it contains three groups of gorillas which include; Nkuringo, Chrismass and Bushaho family. Clouds mountain Gorilla lodge is a luxury lodge with a friendly and charming atmosphere that one should stay at while in the Nkuringo sector bwindi impenetrable national park. There are different activities to do while in Bwindi impenetrable national park which include, Gorilla trekking experience, gorilla habituation experience, Batwa trail, cultural visits, bird watching, nature walks in bwindi forest and many other activities.
Clouds mountain Gorilla lodge consists of Eight beautiful cottages of which 2 rooms can accommodate a family, built of local volcanic stones that are well decorated and furnished. The lodge has luxury rooms with privacy and tranquility whereby each room have en suite private facilities like flushing toilets, mosquito nets and hot running showers/bathe tubs. Rooms are well equipped with Satellite, TVs, extinguishers and other facilities. Rooms have wooden balconies, sitting areas and verandas to relax in while enjoying the flora and fauna around the park and virunga mountains. The lodge has a good breathtaking view atmosphere. Excellent and comfortable clean beddings. There are fireplaces at the lodge that provides warmth to visitors during nights. Rooms are in different categories; single, double and triple rooms and rooms cost 200$ per night and above.
