CTC Conservation Center Mpigi
The CTC Conservation center based in Uganda’s Mpigi District, which is a busy sanctuary of environmental care, community empowerment and ecotourism. Situated in the rolling hills, forest fragments, wetlands, and rich wildlife of Mpigi, the center is developing a high-impact nature-based tourism initiative and promoting sustainable living.
A Mission Rooted in Stewardship
The CTC Conservation Center for Nature’s purpose is to preserve the scenic beauty of Mpigi. The region is home to a large number of birds, small mammals, reptiles, amphibians and indigenous plants, which have been victims of deforestation, global warming and soil erosion.
In light of these concerns, the center also participates in land conservation, reforestation work, wetland conservation, and community-led conservation initiatives. Activities at CTC Conservation Center
CTC considers ecotourism a key element in conservation and community development. Two times each week, visitors can participate in activities at the Center that allow them to get involved in the natural world, raise environmental awareness, and give back to the community.

Visitors are invited to join the trails and nature walks in forests and other series of safari destinations. Walking is an ideal place to see native trees, learn about how ecosystems work and view wildlife. Birdwatching
Mpigi is home to an abundance of bird species and CTC has established birdwatching points where you can see everything, from forest birds to those that live in the wetlands.
