Emeraude Kivu Resort Hotel is a mid-range accommodation situated in Kamembe town, cyangugu in the southern shores of Rwanda’s Lake Kivu. The lodge is between Rwanda and congo ; its near gisakura areas just an hour or 50 minutes. Its located on the top of the hill while overlooking lake Kivu. One can be at the lodge by road transport which takes about 5-6 hours drive from Kigali city and 2 hours drive from Democratic republic of congo. The hotel offers accommodation to visitors visiting Nyungwe national park in Rwanda and kahuzi biega congo . it is convenient and friendly with its breathtaking views of the lake kivu and islands.
The hotel is set between Rwanda and congo, in other words, one can be able to visit Nyungwe national park or Kahuzi biega in congo while at the lodge. Tourism is the leading and growing activity between those two countries . There are some activities to do while in Nyungwe as well as at the lodge which include; Chimpanzee trekking in the park, boat trip since the hotel has three motorboats, Canopy walk in the forest that gives a view of other primates in the top of the forest, nature walks , bird watching in the park, golden monkey tracking , hiking trails , Visiting tea farms , community tours in the local villages and many more activities. Chimpanzee permit is at 90$ non foreign resident and 60$ foreign resident. The best months to be in Nyungwe national park is from June to August, September in along dry season and from December to mid February . Rwanda has other activities in different national park like volcanoes and Akagera national park ; they include; ; Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes , Game drive in Akagera, City tour in Kigali , Bisoke hike and cultural tour like Ibyi’wachu and many amore activites. Both Democratic republic of congo and Rwanda offers convenient and friendly accommodation ; Budget ,mid range and luxury accommodations that suits with every guests’ budget.

Rooms are well decorated and furnished with private en suite facilities like flushing toilets, hot and cold showers/Bathtubs , mosquito nets, chairs, driers with private balconies, terraces ,sitting areas ,you relax while enjoying the spectacular view of lake Kivu and surrounding area . Rooms are well equipped with Satellite , TVs, and other facilities like comfortable clean beddings. There are campfires at the lodge that provides warmth to visitors staying at the lodges. Rooms are in different categories ; single ,double and triple rooms They range from 100$ -250$ per night and above. During peak season the rate goes slightly high than in Low season.
