Enganzi Lodge
Enganzi Lodge is a mid-range accommodation facility in Uganda located in Kichwamba on the hill overlooking Queen Elizabeth national park. The lodge is situated in a perfect way to the park. You can access the lodge by either road or air transport. It is approximately 6-7 hour drive(410km) from Kampala City to the park and 2 hours and 30 minutes flight from Entebbe to the nearby airstrip in Queen Elizabeth National park by Aero link.
Queen Elizabeth National Park is the second-largest and most visited national park found in western Uganda near the historical town of Fort portal in districts of Kasese, Kamwengye, Rubirizi, and Rukungiri. The park occupies a total area of 1,987 km squared. The park extends from Lake George in the north-east to Lake Edward in the south-west and includes the Kazinga Channel connecting the two lakes. It’s the wide channel in Uganda with 32 kilometers long. There are different accommodations in Queen Elizabeth national park are categorized into budget, mid-range, and luxury accommodations. Queen Elizabeth National Park has different activities which include Game viewing where you can sport different animals in the park like buffaloes, elephants, leopard, impalas, antelopes, zebras and many in kasenyi sector and tree climbing lions in ishasha sector, Boat cruise at Kazinga Channel that enables visitors to spot aquatic animals like Hippos ,Crocodiles etc. bird watching , chimpanzee tracking ,forest walk in Kalinzu forest ,caving ,Hiking , mining at Lake katwe, community visits and many more activities. The park has a variety of flora and fauna over 95 mammals and 612 species of bird which attract more tourists. The lodge is friendly and affordable to the tourists visiting the park.
Enganzi Lodge is comprised of 11 elegant huts built in African style with grassed thatched roofs . some rooms are well decorated and furnished with privacy and tranquility whereby each room has en suite private facilities like flushing toilets, mosquito nets, hot running showers, and bathing tubs. Rooms are well equipped with Satellite, TVs, extinguishers and other facilities Rooms have balconies and verandas to relax in while enjoying the good breathtaking view of the lake and surrounding area. Rooms are equipped with comfortable beds. There are fireplaces at the lodge that provides warmth to visitors at the lodges. Rooms are in different categories i.e. single, double and triple rooms and rooms cost 150$ per night and above.
