Gorilla Valley Lodge | Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Gorilla Valley Lodge is a mid-range accommodation (3-star) found in the southern part of Bwindi Impenetrable national park, Uganda in the Rushaga sector.  The lodge is set on the steep slopes and on the border of Impenetrable forest.  It’s in the perfect position  and convenient to guests in exploring Bwindi Impenetrable National Park  with its beautiful  views of the valley , landscape and surrounding areas.  You can be at the lodge by road transport from Kampala VIA Mbarara – Masaka roand and kabala –Mbarara road  taking about 8-9 hours drive while 2 hours to fly from  Entebbe international Airport to the close Kisoro airstrip  then an hour to be transferred to the lodge . Gorilla Valley Lodge

Gorilla valley lodge consists of 12 spacious and comfortable en suite rooms that are built in Modern Retro style and on a steep slope to ensure the view of Bwindi Impenetrable forest and the valley. Rooms are well decorated and furnished with private facilities like hot and cold separate showers , flushing toilets, Mosquito nets , television ,chairs , tables and many more facilities . Rooms have terraces, Verandas and sitting areas that give stunning views of the valley, Bwindi forest and surrounding areas. Rooms are well equipped with excellent and comfortable beds with clean beddings and wooden ceiling funs.  The lodge has suitable rooms for family as well as individuals like singles, doubles, twins, family rooms, triples etc.  There are fire places at the lodge that provides warmth to guests. Room rate differs especially in peak season its always high than in a low season.

Bwindi forest Impenetrable national park is the most visited national park in south western park of Uganda in Kanungu district. The park has more endangered mountain gorillas almost 19 gorilla groups in the park. The park occupies the total area of 330.8 square kilo meters. There are more than 600 mountain gorillas in Bwindi national park of which 19 gorilla families are habituated. The park consists of different 5 sectors namely;  Nkuringo sector,  Rushaga Sector , Buhoma sector and  Ruhijha sectors where gorilla trekking takes place. The lodge is found in Rushaga Sector which is the home of five gorilla families namely;  Mishaya, Kahungye, Nshongi, Bweza and Busingye  . Nkuringo and Nyakagezi can also be tracked while staying in Rushaga location. Rushaga sector is the most visited sector with many gorillas compared to other sectors thus making up Bwindi Impenetrable national park.  Gorilla permit in bwindi  is at 600$ but it will be at 700$ in 2020 July. There are more than seven hundred and eighty six mountain gorillas in the whole world. Uganda hold close to half of their total population, and the majority of them live in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, whereas the others are found in Mgahinga national Park.  Bwindi Impenetrable national park has different accommodations in all sectors; Budget, Mid range and luxury accommodation. The best place to visit  Bwindi impenetrable national park is  Feb, March ,  June, July , September, October  and December . There are many activities to do while in the park include;   Gorilla trekking experience, gorilla habituation  experience, Batwa trail , cultural experience (traditional dances) bird watching , nature and forest walk, community tours  in bwindi forest local villages , Visiting lake bunyonyi and lake mutanda , golden monkey tracking in Mgahinga national park  and many other activities.
