ISHASHA NTUNGWE RIVER CAMP –QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Ishasha Ntungwe River camp is a great decent and budget accommodation found in ishasha sector outside Queen Elizabeth national park in Uganda. The camp is situated 3km away from Park Gate along the banks of River Ntungwe in western part of Uganda close to Ishasha gaming tracks that gives tourist /travellers to spot tree climbing lions and beautiful views of the Riparian Forest Vegetation and Acacia savannah surrounding the camp. One can be at the camp by road taking approximately 5-6 hours (370km) drive from Kampala city to queen Elizabeth national park then an hour flight from Entebbe international airport to close Kasese airstrip and few minutes to be transferred to the camp.
Ishasha Ntungwe River camp is comprised of 10 spacious and comfortable canvas rooms built in African traditional style with grass thatched roof and local woods . Rooms are well furnished and elevated to meet guest’s personal fondness with mosquito nets, hot and cold showers , flushing toilets free toiletries , chairs and wooden tables ,free bottled water, slippers in the rooms . Each room has sitting areas, terraces and large veranda that give a panoramic view of the Ntungwe Riverine forest canopy and surrounding areas. The Lodge has excellent and comfortable beddings with king sized bed. There are campfire pit where fire glows, guests relax as they share stories/ experiences about the Uganda safari, it also provides warmth during cold periods. The camp offers Singles beds for individuals and double beds/ twins with different costs ranging from 150$ and above per night per person, during peak season it goes slightly high than in low season .
Ishasha Ntungwe River Camp offers different facilities and services which include;
Two dining areas one on the reception and another one by the river banks serving different mouth -watering meal to meet visitors choice both local and international cuisuine; They offer breakfasts overlooking the river ,Picnic lunch and dinner served by well trained and organized staff .
A well-stocked bar with both hard and soft drinks like beers, wines ,sodas etc, you sip any drink of you choice while enjoying the stunning view of queen Elizabeth national park , forest canopy and surrounding areas.

Queen Elizabeth national park is the second largest and most visited national park found in western Uganda near historical town of Fort portal (Tourism city) in districts of Kasese, Kamwengye, Rubirizi and Rukungiri. The park occupies the total area of 987 km squared .The park extends from Lake George in the north-east to Lake Edward in the south-westand includes the Kazinga Channel connecting the two lakes. It’s the wide channel in Uganda with 32 kilometers long. There are different accommodations in Queen Elizabeth national park; budget ,mid range and luxury accommodations. The park has the variety of flora and fauna over 100 mammals and 612 species of bird which attract more tourists.
