Kyambura Gorge Lodge
Kyambura Gorge Lodge is a luxury accommodation situated at the edge of Kyambura gorge, in western parts of Uganda in Queen Elizabeth national park. The lodge is found in Kyambura, Rubirizi district. The lodge is in an ideal location for Chimpanzee trekking in the Kyambura forest. its approximately 7-hour drive(410km) from Kampala City to the park and 2 hours and 30 minutes flight from Entebbe to the nearby airstrip in Queen Elizabeth by Aero link.
Kyambura is found in north-east of Queen Elizabeth National Park. It is just 30km from the park headquarters. Kyambura gorge stretches to a distance of 11km and links to Kazinga Channel. Kyambura gorge is called the valley of Apes and the gorge is drained by River Kyambura. Kyambura is the best place for chimpanzee trekking in Queen Elizabeth national park. Chimpanzee trekking is at 50$ in Kyambura. Accommodations in Queen Elizabeth National Park are in different categories i.e. budget, mid-range, and luxury accommodations. Queen Elizabeth National Park has different activities which include; Game viewing ,you sport different animals in the park like buffaloes, elephants, leopard, impalas, antelopes, zebras and many in kasenyi sector and tree climbing lions in ishasha sector, Boat cruise at Kazinga Channel that enables visitors to spot aquatic animals like Hippos, Crocodiles, etc. bird watching, chimpanzee trekking, nature and forest walks in Kalinzu forest and kyambura, caving , Hiking mount Rwenzori, mining at lake katwe, community visits, and many more activities. Queen Elizabeth national park is the second-largest and most visited national park found in western Uganda near the historical town of Fort portal in districts of Kasese, Kamwengye, Rubirizi, and Rukungiri. The park occupies a total area of 1,987 km squared. The park extends from Lake George in the north-east to Lake Edward in the south-west and includes the Kazinga Channel connecting the two lakes.

Kyambura gorge lodge is comprised of Eight unique guest bandas that reflect the local building style with artisan touches, mosquito nets and private wooden balconies and sitting areas, you relax while enjoying the stunning view of kyambura gorge and the park. En-suite bathrooms rooms offer flushing toilet, double vanity, bath tabs/ shower with hot and cold running water. Banda are well decorated and furnished. Rooms are well equipped with Satellite, TVs, extinguishers and other facilities. Rooms are equipped with comfortable beds. There are fireplaces at the lodge that provides warmth to visitors at the lodges. Rooms are in different categories; single, double and triple rooms and rooms cost 300$ per night and above ( note that high season rate is different to low season rate.)
