Mapito Tented Camp | Serengeti
Mapito Tented Camp is a mid-range accommodation found in Robanda, Ikoma region in Tanzania close to Serengeti national park in the center of Serengeti ecosystem just 2.3 miles from the lodge. You can either be at lodge by road or air transport while from different countries. It takes approximately 6hrs and 30 minutes drive from Arusha to Mapito tented camp and 2 hrs flight from Arusha to seronera airstrip. The camp is convenient and friendly to guests visiting the park with its stunning views.
Mapito tented camp is comprised of thirteen spacious tents with wood elements reflecting African traditional style with grass thatched roof and modern comfort ,well designed to meet guests personal choice. Each luxury tent has its own spacious private veranda, terraces and wooden balconies with tables and comfortable chairs, overlooking the Serengeti plains . All tent’s in Serengeti safari Tanzania are equipped with comfortable and clean beddings like mattresses, pillows, TV’s mosquito nets and cozy duvets, all covered with fine linen . Solar powered light are installed in each part of tent, solar heated water is available in the outdoor showers 24 hour. The camp is equipped with comfortable tents contain en suite facilities like ; flushing toilets , hot and cold outdoor showers, Each room with sitting areas that gives a stunning View of the area. Rooms varies in different sizes and different categories; deluxe, standard , Executive in Singles, double ,twin and family cottages. Rooms cost 200$ and above per night per person
Mapito tented camp offers different facilities and services which include ; a restaurant that serves different delicious meal to meet visitors choice both local and international meals ; breakfast in the room , lunch and dinner served by well trained and organized staff. They also serve dinners in the bush , well stocked bar with both hard and soft drinks like beers, wines ,sodas etc, you sip cocktail or monk tail while enjoying the stunning view of Serengeti plains and surrounding area, a stand by generator available at the lodge, Laundry services available at the lodge, Ample parking space available , WIFI available at the lodge that enables guests to keep in touch with their families and friends, Excellent and comfortable clean bedding , ironing services available and many services, craft shop with African gifts like shoes , necklaces, essential services etc.
Mapito camp is situated in Ikoma in the northern part of Serengeti national park found in Tanzania . The park extends in the southern part of Kenya / that’s the Serengeti and Mara ecosystem in simiyu region . The park is among the popular and famous parks in Tanzania covering 5700 square miles stretching North to Kenya and bordering lake Victoria to the west. June – October are the best periods to be in Serengeti national park since its dry season , it offers best wildlife viewing when wild beast are moving seeking for pasture and water. Its annually migration of wild beasts. The park contains over 70 big mammals like Buffaloes , elephants, crocodiles, zebras, lions, leopards, wild dogs, warthogs, Impalas , Girraffes , antelopes , Hippos ,crocodiles etc and 500 species of birds like; Flamingos , ostriches , grey breasted spurfowl, Kori bustard, secretary birds and many more which enables more tourists to visit the park and stay for along time.. its 60$ to enter the park.
