Mara River Camp
Mara River Camp is a mid-range accommodation situated in the Northwest of Kenya overlooking the Mara River in Maasai Mara National Park. The camp is found on the Oloololo escarpment. Maasai Mara national park is the largest and most popular park in Kenya and it also happens to be the world’s greatest reserve with 95 species of wildlife which include; zebras, elephants, lions, rhinos, buffaloes, leopards, cheaters and 570 species of birds. The park is convenient for both budget and luxury safaris. The park is found in the South-Western part of Kenya covering an area of 1510 square km. It is about 270km from Nairobi city and it takes about 4-5 hours by road from Nairobi and 40-45 minutes by flight. The best time to be in Kenya is around the months of July-October.
Mara River Camp consists of 19 safari tents of which three are deluxe with private facilities like hot showers, flushing toilets, and a kitchen. All tents have comfortable with clean beddings. All rooms are well furnished and in a good position overlooking the Mara River. Some rooms have verandas that give out the beauty of the park. Rooms at Mara River Camp are in different categories ranging from standard rooms, deluxe rooms, superior rooms, single rooms, double rooms, twin rooms and triple rooms. The rooms at Mara River Camp cost 405$ per night and above.
