Mbali Mbali Tarangire River Camp
Mbali Mbali Tarangire river camp is a mid-range accommodation found near the main entrance of Tarangire national park overlooking the Tarangire River in Tanzania. The lodge is situated inside the park just 4km from the entrance .one can be at the camp by road from Arusha since it takes 3 hours drive (160km) and you can fly from Arusha to Tarangire airstrip in an hour or 30 minutes. Arusha is the gateway of destination to different parks in Tanzania. The camp is friendly and convenient to the visitors visiting Tarangire national park with its good view of the park and variety of animals roaming at the camp;
Mbali Mbali Tarangire river camp consists of 21 elegant and comfortable en-suite tents that are built in traditional African style with Grass thatched roofs and modern comfort. Rooms are well decorated and furnished with private en suite facilities like flushing toilets, hot and cold showers/Bathtubs and some tents have an outdoor shower, mosquito nets, hair driers, and private wooden balconies, verandas, and sitting areas, you relax while enjoying the stunning view of Tarangire river and surrounding area . Tents are well equipped with Satellite, TVs, extinguishers with comfortable clean beddings and ceiling fans. There are campfires at the lodge that provides warmth to visitors staying at the lodges. Tents are in different categories; single, double, twin and triple/family rooms and tents cost 300$ per night and above. Note that in High season the rate goes slightly high than in Low season.

Tarangire national park is considered to be the sixth largest park in Tanzania country found in south east of Manyara national park in the Northern part of Tanzania. The name of the park comes from Tarangire river that crosses the park and the river is the only source of freshwaters for animals in the Tarangire ecosystem. It occupies the total area of 2,850 KM squared and its 150Km from Arusha. The park is small with twenty-six mammal, famous with large herd of big five animals like; Buffaloes, elephants, zebras, elands, Rhinos Impalas, antelopes, etc and 500 bird species like; yellow-necked, helmeted, barbet, starling, swift, stripped swallows etc.
The park has different categories of accommodation like; Budget , Mid range and luxury accommodation that are convenient and affordable to guests visitors visiting tarangire national park. There are more different activities to do while in the Park which include; Game viewing, you spot different animals in the park , Visiting Tarangire River , Cultural visits in the local village, Camping , Bird watching/Birding since the park has more bird species ,Boat trip at Tarangire river , sight seeing trips etc. its 60 $ to enter the park. Dry season is the best period to visit tarangire national park as animals are migrating in June- September hence giving a chance to see some of the animals.
