Nyota Mara Lodge

Nyota Mara lodge is referred to as a mid-range accommodation (3.5 stars) found on the banks of Mara River in Masaai Mara national park Kenya country. The lodge is close to Musiara gate just 8 miles from ololoolo gate. One can be at the lodge by road transport from Nairobi Town taking approximately 5-6 hours’ drive and an hour to fly from from Nairobi to the close Mara kichwa airstrip then 30 minutes to be transferred to the lodge.  The lodge is convenient, business friendly and in an ideal place to guests with its stunning view of the savannah, Mara River, wildlife drinking water at the river and surrounding areas.

Nyota Mara lodge is comprised of  7 rooms of which 6 are luxury superior rooms and 1 bubble tent overlooking Mara  River and hippo pool reflecting  African traditional building style with Grass Thatched roofs and local woods.  Rooms are well elevated and decorated with en-suite private facilities like flushing toilets, hot and cold separate showers and bathtubs, toiletries, mosquito nets, flat-screen TVs, private balconies, and sitting areas and terraces, you relax while enjoying the spectacular view of the savannah wildlife visiting the lodge and surrounding area. Rooms are equipped with comfortable clean bedding containing king and queen-sized beds with wooden ceiling fans.  There are campfires at the lodge that provides warmth to visitors staying in cold days. Rooms are in different categories and sizes; single, double and triple rooms and rooms cost 300$ per night and above  , sometimes rate goes slightly high during  high /Peak season than in  low season .

Masai Mara national park is among the largest and most visited park in Kenya know of its incredible density and variety of animals. It is situated  270km north of Nairobi in Kenya occupying the total area of 1,510 km squared . There are many over 1 million tribes in Kenya, Masaai are initial and local  group of semi –Nomadic people that settled in Kenya and the northern part of Tanzania. Maasai Mara National park is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. The park contains over a million  of  animals that include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos and 600 species of bird and 60 species of raptors in different  colors. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration from Serengeti national park during July , August, and October. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek river.
