Ole Serai Camp
Ole Serai Camp is a luxury camp found in Northern (Kogatende) areas of the famous Serengeti National Park and it lies at the heart of central Seronera in Serengeti. The camp is found between the hills of Rongai and Nyarboro hill in Serengeti national park. It is just a few meters from the Mbalageti Seronera River and not far from the Ngare Nanyuki River. This accommodation facility is found in the center near the Moru Kopjes about 32 miles from Northwest of the Naabi hill. It is the home of the remaining black rhinos and the area for rocky outcrops. You can either be at the camp by road or air transport. It is a 10 minutes drive (1.5km) from Kogatende airstrip to the camp and 17km from Seronera airstrip to the camp. The camp is surrounded by different airstrips.
Ole Serai Camp consists of 14 luxury tents which are beautiful and well furnished. All rooms have private suite facilities like; flushing toilets and hot running showers. Rooms have verandas and balconies where you relax while overlooking the spectacular view of the Serengeti plains and surrounding area. Rooms have excellent clean and washed beddings which are king-sized. There are in different categories of rooms i.e single rooms, double rooms, twins and family rooms. Some rooms have campfires that provide warmth to clients during nights. Rooms cost 321$ and above per night.
There are also different services and facilities at Ole Serai Camp which include a restaurant that serves all types of meals which are delicious in order to meet guests’ choice breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They also serve out and indoors dinner options and bush dinners. Ole Serai Camp also has a lounge and well-stocked bar where you can relax and sip the cocktail while enjoying the beautiful view of the Serengeti plains and the surrounding areas. During the evening hours, you can also relax on the terrace overlooking the Serengeti sunsets. Ole Serai Camp offers laundry services, Airport transfers, and pickups since the camp is located near different airstrips. The park is found in Tanzania extending the southern part of Kenya in Serengeti and Mara ecosystem in the Simiyu region. The park is among the popular and famous parks in Tanzania covering 5,700 square miles stretching North to Kenya and bordering Lake Victoria to the west. June – October are the best periods to be in Serengeti national park since its the dry season. It offers the best wildlife viewing when there is the wildebeest migration. The park contains over 70 big mammals like Buffaloes, elephants, crocodiles, zebras, lions, leopards, Impalas, Giraffes, antelopes, etc and 500 species of birds like Flamingos, ostriches, grey breasted spurfowl, Kori bustard, secretary birds and many more which enables more tourists to visit the park and stay for along time. It is 60$ to enter the park. There are more activities to do while in the park and at the lodge which includes, game drive in the park which enables you to spot different animals either in the night or during the day.
