Roika Tarangire Tented Lodge
Roika Tarangire tented lodge is a mid-range accommodation found outside Tarangire national park, Just a few kilometers (5km) to the main gates of the park and bout 125km from Arusha town. One can be in the park by road transport which takes a 2-3 hours drive to the park The lodge also offers accommodations in Lake Manyara national park since it’s the short distance drive. Roika Tarangire’s tented lodge is surrounded by acacia woodland and wildlife.
Roika Tarangire tented lodge consists of 21 spacious en suite tents built in traditional African style with grass-thatched roof, beautiful handcrafted furniture, and modern comfort. The rooms are well decorated and furnished with private en suite facilities like; Flushing toilets, hot and cold showers/Bathtubs, mosquito nets, driers, private wooden balconies, sitting areas, verandas, you relax while enjoying the beautiful view of Tarangire wilderness, and surrounding areas. Rooms have excellent and comfortable clean beddings. The lodge has bonfires that provides warmth to the visitors staying at the lodge. Rooms vary in different categories; standards, deluxe, executives with different sizes like single, double, triple room, etc. Rooms cost 300$ per night and above, sometimes rate goes slightly higher in peak season

Tarangire national park is found in south east of Manyara national park in the Northern part of Tanzania country and its considered to be the sixth largest park in Tanzania. The name of the park comes from the Tarangire river that crosses the park and its the only source of freshwaters for animals in the Tarangire ecosystem. It occupies the total area of 2,850 KM squared and its 150Km from Arusha. The park is small with twenty-six mammal, famous with large herd of big five animals like; Buffaloes, elephants, zebras, enlands, Rhinos Impalas, antelopes, etc and 500 bird species like; yellow-necked, helmeted, barbet, starling , swift, stripped swallows etc. The park has different categories of accommodation like; Budget, Mid-range and luxury accommodation that are convenient and affordable to guests visitors visiting Tarangire national park.
There are more different activities to do while in the Park which include; Game viewing especially during the night, you spot different animals in the park , Visiting Tarangire River, Cultural visits in the local village, Camping , Bird watching/Birding since the park has more bird species, Boat trip at Tarangire river, sight-seeing trips, sport fishing, Bush sport, Treasure hunting and sand bathing in Tarangire river bed. etc. it is 60$ to enter the park. The dry season is the best period to visit Tarangire national park as animals are migrating in June- September hence giving a chance to see some of the animals.
