Serengeti Heritage Camp
Serengeti Heritage camp is a mid-range accommodation facility found in northern parts of Tanzania. The lodge is located in the center/heart of the park. You can be at the lodge either by the road or air transport. It takes just 10 minutes to drive from the airstrip. The camp is inside the park.
Serengeti national park is a famous park in Tanzania. It covers 5700 square miles stretching North to Kenya and bordering Lake Victoria to the west. You can access the national park is either by road or air transport. The best way to access Serengeti national park is to fly to Kilimanjaro International Airport from Arusha just 49kms. Sereonera airstrip is near the camp. June – October are the best periods to visit Serengeti national park since its a dry season. It offers the best wildlife viewing while migrating to find food. The park contains over 70 big mammals like Buffaloes, elephants, crocodiles, zebras, lions, leopards, antelopes e.t.c and 500 species of birds which make bird-watching safaris one of the best activities in Serengeti.
Serengeti heritage camp consists of 40 spacious and comfortable self-contained tents with hot showers and flushing toilets. Rooms have verandas and balconies where you can relax while enjoying the spectacular view of the park and surrounding area. The rooms are excellent and have a cozy atmosphere. They are big enough with indoor and outdoor dining options. Some rooms have campfires that provide warmth to guests. Rooms at the lodge vary in different categories i.e. single rooms, double rooms, twin rooms with two beds inside and triple and family cottages. Each category has different rates. The room-rates cost 250$ per night and above depending on the type of room you are interested in.
