Serengeti Pioneer Camp – Elewana
Serengeti Pioneer Camp is a mid-range accommodation found in the southern center of Serengeti national park. The camp is situated up against the rock outcrop of Nyareboro hill and it’s at the perfect spotting base for the big five ie lion, leopards, rhinos, elephants and buffaloes, and other creatures. It take approximately 6hours drive from arusha town to Serengeti national park and 1-2 hours to fly from Arusha to seronera close airstrip then 50 minutes drive from the airstrip to the camp. The camp is under Elewana collections that offers Unique accommodations ( both lodges and camps) across Kenya and Tanzania . Serengeti pioneer camp is convenient and business friendly to guests visiting the park with spectacular views of lake magadi , rock outcrop and Serengeti plains.
Serengeti pioneer camp consists of 12 comfortable appointed and spacious tented rooms that reflect traditional building style with grass thatched roofs and local woods. Tents are well decorated and furnished with private en suite facilities like flushing toilets , hot and cold showers via solar heating , vanity basin , flat screen TV, minibars, mosquito nets, indoor lounge chairs and other facilities . Tents have verandas, sitting area and wooden balconies, you relax while overlooking the spectacular view of Moru kopjes , Serengeti savannah plains, wild beasts that visits the lodge and surrounding area. Tents have excellent clean and washed beddings with queen sized beds. They are in different categories and sizes; single ,double ,twins and family rooms. The camp has fireplaces that provides warmth to the guests during nights. Cost of the rooms at the camp ranges from 200$ and above per night and price always goes slightly higher in peak season.
