Tarangire Simba Lodge
Tarangire Simba Lodge is considered to be a mid-range accommodation found in the wild area near the new gate of sangaiwe outside Tarangire national park. The lodge was built near the wildlife management area. One can be at lodge by road transport which takes approximately 2 -3 hours( 72 miles) drive from Arusha to the lodge and by air its takes about an hour to fly from Arusha to the park. Tarangire Simba lodge offers accommodation in the park and has a beautiful vtNiew of the lake burunge and babati and wildlife visiting the park.
Tarangire Simba lodge consists of 20 luxurious and comfortable rooms built in traditional African style with grass-thatched roof , glass windows and modern comfort. Rooms are well furnished and decorated with private en suite facilities like; Flushing toilets, hot and cold showers/Bathtubs, mosquito nets, driers, private wooden balconies , sitting areas , verandas, you relax while enjoying the beautiful view of lake burunge and surrounding areas. Rooms have excellent and comfortable clean beddings. The lodge has campfires that provides warmth to the visitors staying at the lodge. Rooms varies in different categories; standards, deluxe , executives with different sizes like single, double ,triple room etc. Rooms cost 400$ per night and above, sometime rate goes slightly higher in peak season.
Tarangire simba lodge offers different facilities and services which include; a restaurant that serves different meals both continental and African inspired meals that meets guests appetite ; Breakfast , Lunch and dinners in the main dining rooms and outdoor diner deck with a view of the plains served by well trained ,organized and welcoming staff, A well stocked bar and lounge with both soft and hard drinks, a blue water swimming pool that cools off the hot afternoon in Tarangire with outdoor pool bar , you relax in water while overlook the spectacular view of lake Burunge, the plains, and wildlife surrounding the park, Laundry services available at the lodge, airport pickups and drop-offs rendered, wifi offered at the lodge which enables guests to keep in touch with their families and friends, Ample parking space available, solar energy available at the lodge, craft shop with African craft gifts like clothes, safari essentials, shoes etc.
Tarangire national park is found in south east of Manyara national park in the Northern part of Tanzania country and its considered to be the sixth largest park in Tanzania .The name of the park comes from Tarangire river that crosses the park and its the only source of freshwaters for animals in Tarangire ecosystem. It occupies the total area of 2,850 KM squared and its 150Km from Arusha. The park is small with twenty six mammal, famous with large herd of big five animals like; Buffaloes , elephants, zebras, enlands, Rhinos Impalas ,antelopes, etc and 500 bird species like; yellow necked , helmeted, barbet, starling ,swift ,stripped swallows etc. The park has different categories of accommodation like; Budget , Mid range and luxury accommodation that are convenient and affordable to guests visitors visiting tarangire national park. There are more different activities to do while in the Park which include; Game viewing, you spot different animals in the park , Visiting Tarangire River , Cultural visits in the local village, Camping , Bird watching/Birding since the park has more bird species ,Boat trip at Tarangire river , sight seeing trips etc. its 60 $ to enter the park .Dry season is the best period to visit tarangire national park as animals are migrating in June- September hence giving a chance to see some of the animals.
