Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park
- Transfer to Bwindi: On day 1 of 3 days gorilla safari, you will be picked up from your early communicated hotel in kampala / Entebbe and embark on a long day drive towards Bwindi impenetrable national park situated in the extreme south western part of Uganda. Keeping in mind that the whole day is set apart for travelling, you will have a stopover in Biharwe at the equator for some beautiful photographs and experiment then have another stop at Igongo cultural hotel within Mbarara for a lunch break. After lunch proceed your journey through hills and mountains of kabale and Kisoro until you get to the lodge in Buhoma sector for check-in dinner and have a rest.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi
- Gorilla trekking: this day 2 out of 3 days Bwindi gorilla trekking safari, your breakfast will be served as early as possible, pack your lunch box, drinking water and then meet the driver and be transferred to the park headquarters in Buhoma sector to engage in gorilla trekking briefing that includes the dos and don’ts, the expectations during the trek and many more. You will then be allocated a particular gorilla family within a group of a maximum of 8 persons in a group. After the briefing, hire a porter to assist in carrying your backpack, and even offer you a pull and push within muddy trails then move alongside rangers for security deep into the jungle via different trails as you look for the mountain gorillas. In the process of gorilla trekking in Bwindi, you will spot different wildlife species including primates such as monkeys, mammal species, bird species, butterflies, and lots of plant species. After spotting gorillas, you will spend only one hour as you interact with gorillas, taking photographs, and in a blink of an eye, an hour is done. Return to the lodge, enjoy your dinner and sleep.

Day 3: Return to Kampala / Entebbe for departures
- Return to Kampala: day 3 is your last day of safari. you will wake up in the morning, have breakfast and embark on the long drive back to kampala with an enroute lunch in Mbarara at Igongo cultural hotel then proceed to kampala and head over to Entebbe international airport for departures back home or have an overnight in kampala /Entebbe according to your wish.
