3 Days Murchison Falls Safari: Murchison Falls National Park is the oldest and largest national park in Uganda. Its centerpiece, the Murchison Falls is one of the most explosive waterfalls in the world.
Day 1: Pick up and transfer for Murchison Falls National Park
On this day, you will be picked, depending on your location in Kampala and transferred to Murchison Falls National Park-Uganda’s largest national park. The park is a habitat for big 4 game including elephants, buffaloes, lions and leopards. However you will have a stopover for about 2 to 3 hours at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for Rhino trekking. After there, embark on your journey to the home of the magnificent falls, adding you 2 more hours to arrive at the park. Upon arrival at the park late afternoon, connect to your lodge for relaxation.
Dinner and overnight stay at Paraa Safari lodge/Fort Murchison lodge
Day 2: Game drive and launch cruise at the bottom of the falls
After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will go for a morning game drive on the Northern Bank of River Nile. The activity takes about 3-5 hours and be able to view variety of wildlife including elephants, Rothschild giraffes, buffaloes, lions, Hartebeest, Uganda kobs, Oribis and waterbucks. After the drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon go for a launch cruise on the along the Nile which will give you an exciting panoramic view at the bottom of the mighty Murchison falls. Along the cruise, you will encounter crocodiles, hippos, and birds on the river banks like kingfisher, cormorants and bee-eater.
After viewing the falls at the bottom, you will hike up to find the falls through Bakers trail and also be able to stand at bakers stone (brings you closer to the bottom of the falls) this hike is a bit tuff but it’s fascinating as you will enjoy to see the falls at different points and finally when you reach at the top of the falls, you will be amazed and eventually forget about the tuff hike. After spending a good time at the top of the falls, you will meet your driver who will transfer you back to your lodge.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking in Budongo Forest & return to Kampala
On this day, after having early morning breakfast, you go for Chimpanzee tracking in Kaniyo Eco tourism site in Budongo forest which is the biggest mahogany forest in East Africa and a home to about 80 habituated chimpanzees. You will arrive very early so that you can start the forest walk in search of the chimpanzees, you will also enjoy the view and sound of birds and you will spend about 2-4 hours in search depending on their movement. Once finding them, you will stay for one hour with them watching them eat, rest and play.
After the adventure, connect to Masindi for lunch then embark on your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe for your ongoing evening flight.
