Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area
Depending on your location on the first day of the 3 Days Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara Wildlife Safari, our driver guide will pick you up, brief you about the safari and then start the journey to Ngorongoro conservation area which is located in the northern part of Tanzania.
The journey takes about 2 to 3 hours drive and on the way you will enjoy incredible views of the Masai villages, landscape, farmlands among others and upon arrival you check into the lodge and have lunch.
Afternoon game drive
After lunch you will go for a game drive in the Ngorongoro crater which is the world’s largest intact, inactive and unfilled caldera. During the game drive, you will descend down the crater through the lush forests at the crater walls and once you reach down to the crater floor, you will have breathtaking views of the big five mammals (elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, and rhinos), other animals like zebras, wildebeests, waterbucks, gazelles, hyenas, cheetahs, hartebeests, impalas, elands and different bird species. After the game drive you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Morning game drive and transfer to Lake Manyara national park
Morning game drive
After an early breakfast, meet up with your driver guide to go for a morning game drive where you will be rewarded with great views of grazers grazing on fresh grass with dew, view big cats on a hunt, and see bird species, among other things. After the game drive you will drive back to the lodge for lunch.
Transfer to Lake Manyara national park
After lunch, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Lake Manyara national park. Upon arrival in the park, you will go for an evening game drive where you will be rewarded with incredible views of animals like elephants, wildebeests, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and the tree-climbing lions, which will be lying up in the acacia tree branches, different bird species like flamingos, and primates like blue monkeys and baboons, among others. After the game drive you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Morning game drive and departure to Arusha
Morning game drive
After an early breakfast , meet your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for a morning game drive where you will get a chance to view large herds of elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, waterbucks, impalas, bohor reedbucks, klipspringer, wildebeests, and bushbucks, among others, grazing in open grassland plains; view predators like leopards, cheetahs, and lions looking for a morning hunt; view the beautiful sunrise; and view bird species, among others. After the game drive you will return to the lodge for lunch.
Departure to Arusha:
After lunch you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver to transfer to Arusha, where you will have great views of the local people and homesteads on the way. Upon arrival you will be dropped off at the airport for your departure flight or dropped off at any place of advice.
