Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Entebbe to Kampala
Depending on the time of arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed by the company driver guide and then drive to the hotel in Kampala for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight. Accommodation fairway hotel-midrange
Day 2: Transfer to Gulu
You will wake up have an early breakfast at the lodge and then start your journey to northern Uganda where you will have great views on the way such as beautiful scenery, landscapes, homesteads, road side markets, local people among others. You will have en route lunch on the way and then proceed to Gulu town where you will arrive late afternoon. On arrival you will check into the lodge have dinner and overnight. Day 3: Transfer from Gulu to Kidepo national park
On the third day, you will wake up have breakfast and then continue with the journey to Kidepo valley national park which views of the small grass thatched houses, hills, seasonal lakes among others. On arrival in the park you will check in at the lodge and then have lunch.
After lunch you will meet up with your driver guide who will take you for the afternoon game drive in the open savannah vegetation. During the game drive you will be able to view various animal species such as elephants, lions, giraffes, leopards, buffaloes and some bird species. Day 4: Morning game drive and hot springs visit
You will wake up have lunch at the lodge and then meet up with your driver guide for the morning game drive where you will be able to view various animals such as elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, leopards, lions, cheetahs, duikers, bushbucks and bird species such as the Kori bustard, ground hornbill, secretary bird, red eyed barbet, bee-eaters, purple heron, Karamoja Apalis among others.
After the game drive you will drive back to the lodge for lunch and after lunch you will go for another drive to Kidepo valley which is situated close to south Sudan boarder so as to visit the Kanangorok hot springs which lie 11km over Kidepo River. During the hot spring visit you will have clear views of the mountains, birds species such as the ostriches among others. After the hot spring visit you will transfer back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Transfer from Kidepo national park to Murchison falls
You will wake up have an early breakfast at the lodge and then check out to start your journey to Murchison falls national park which is the largest and most visited national park in Uganda. It’s a full day drive with a stopover in Gulu town for lunch. After lunch you will continue the journey to Murchison falls national park where you will reach late evening. On arrival you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight. Accommodation, Pakuba safari lodge midrange.
Day 6: Game drive and boat cruise
You will wake up very early, have breakfast and your driver guide will pick you up for the morning game drive which will start at 6:00 or 7:00. Murchison falls national park is blessed with variety of vegetation types, bird species and animal species, during the game drive you will get an opportunity to view most of the animals such as elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, lions, waterbucks, antelopes among others. After the game drive which will end at around12pm, you will drive back to the lodge to have lunch and re-freshen up.
After lunch, you will go for an afternoon boat cruise which takes about 3 hours on River Nile where you will view various animals such as the elephants, buffaloes on the water banks, water birds, Nile crocodiles among others. The boat will continue to the bottom of the falls where you will have beautiful views of the waterfall.
While at the bottom of the falls, you can opt for hiking to the top of the falls where you will meet your driver guide on top after hiking. Hiking on top of the falls is an interesting and adventurous activity that takes about 45 minutes but needs someone to be physically fit. After meeting up with your guide you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at the lodge used the previous day.
Day 7: Transfer to Kampala
You will wake up early have breakfast at the lodge and then go for a top of the falls hike in case you missed the hiking where you will view various animals birds, landscape, Nile among other. After the top of the falls drive you will drive out of the park heading to Masindi town where you will have lunch and then proceed to Kampala where you will reach early evening. The driver guide will drop you off at a place of your choice or at Entebbe Airport in case you have a flight to catch.
