Delve into Uganda‘s attractions, in a 7 days Uganda safari, visiting Murchison falls national park and checking out some the best spots, viewing 4 of the big 5 wild game . Descend to Kibale forest national park for chimpanzee trekking, depart kibale for bwindi via ishaha sector famous for tree climbing lions.

Day 1: Pick up and transfer for Murchison Falls National Park
Depending on your location in Kampala, you will be picked up and transferred to Murchison Falls National Park–Uganda‘s largest national park. The park is a habitat for big 4 game including elephants, buffaloes, lions and leopards. However you will have a stopover for about 2 to 3 hours at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for Rhino trekking. Have lunch then proceed to the home of the magnificent falls, adding you 2 more hours to arrive at the park. Upon arrival at the park late afternoon, connect to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Game drive and launch cruise at the bottom of the falls
After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will go for a morning game drive on the Northern Bank of the park. The activity takes about 3-5 hours and be able to view variety of wildlife including elephants, Rothschild giraffes, buffaloes, lions, Hartebeest, kobs, Oribis and waterbucks. After the drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, go for a launch cruise on the Nile with exciting panoramic view at the bottom of the mighty Murchison falls. Along the cruise, you will encounter crocodiles, hippos, and birds on the river banks like kingfisher, cormorants and bee-eater.
After viewing the falls at the bottom, you can have an optional hike to the top of falls through Bakers trail and also be able to stand at bakers stone -bringing you closer to the bottom of the falls, this hike is a bit tuff but it’s fascinating as you will enjoy to see the falls at different points and finally when you reach at the top of the falls, you will be amazed and eventually forget about the tuff hike. After spending a good time at the top of the falls, you will meet your driver who will transfer you back to your lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale national park
Depart Murchison early after breakfast and transfer Kibale national park, it’s a full day hours’ drive to Fort portal with en route lunch. Kibale Forest National Park is the best safari destinations in Africa with 13 species of primate where chimpanzees are the most visited. Arrive at the lodge late afternoon and unwind, have dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking and nature walk.
Have early breakfast and transfer to the park head office for a briefing about the endangered chimpanzees and later enter the forest with the guidance of a park ranger along with your tracking gears, packed water and snacks. This tracking takes about 2-5 hours in search of the chimpanzees. On finding the primates, you will spend 1 hour with the creatures while studying their behavior and taking pictures. After tracking, return to the lodge for lunch and refresh.
Later afternoon, connect for a nature walk in Bigodi wetland, where you will get to enjoy walking through a wetland with a variety of bird species. Later in the evening return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight at as above
Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi via Queen Elizabeth national park
After breakfast, meet your driver to depart for Bwindi, you will first connect for a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth national park in search of the tree climbing lions. Proceed to Bwindi arriving late afternoon at the lodge where you will check-in, have dinner and spend a night.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking experience.
Have breakfast and transfer you to park offices for briefing about Mountain Gorilla trekking by a local guide. The time taken is usually between 2-8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Meeting the gorillas unexpectedly is one of the most captivating lifetime experiences. You will have a chance to observe and take pictures at very close range. You will observe adults feeding and groaning among themselves. After an hour with the long-awaited gorillas, your guide and rangers will lead you back to the starting point where your driver will readily be waiting to transfer you back to the lodge. Depending on the time you return from the trekking activity, you may do an optional community tour. Have dinner and overnight stay as lodge above
Day 7: Transfer to Kampala and departure
Have early morning breakfast and embark on your 8 hours’ drive to Kampala city where you will also connect to Entebbe international airport to find your evening flight back home. End of Safari
