Gorilla Mist Camp
Gorilla mist camp is a mid-range accommodation situated in the south west wing of Ruhija tracking area in Bwindi impenetrable national park. The lodge is located 50 km from Kabale town and 30 km from the Buhoma sector. It is approximately (405kmsquared) an 8-hours drive from Kampala to Bwindi via Mbarara and 2 hours flight from Entebbe International Airport to Kihihi airstrip. The lodge is found in the Ruhija section in Bwindi impenetrable national park where the gorilla families Oruzogo, Bitukura, and Kyaguliro are found. It is also found near one of the best swamps known for birding safaris.
Bwindi impenetrable national park is found in the south western part of Uganda in Kanungu district. The park covers the total area of 330.8 km squared. Bwindi impenetrable national park is the home of more endangered mountain gorillas in Uganda. This park generates more revenue for Uganda Wild Authority amongst other safari parks in Uganda. The park has different accommodations including a budget, midrange, and luxury accommodation. There are 19 gorilla families which are habituated. they are found in different 5 sectors namely the Nkuringo sector, Rushaga Sector, Buhoma sector, and Ruhija sectors where gorilla trekking takes place. A gorilla permit in bwindi is at 600$ but it will be at 700$ 2020 July. There are more than seven hundred and 86 mountain gorillas in the whole world. Uganda holds close to half of their total population, and the majority of them live in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, whereas the others are found in Mgahinga Gorilla Park. Gorilla mist lodge is a luxury lodge with a friendly and charming atmosphere that one should stay at while in Ruhijha sector bwindi impenetrable national park . There are different activities to do while in Bwindi impenetrable national park which includes, Gorilla trekking experience, gorilla habituation experience, Batwa trail, cultural visits, bird watching, nature walks in bwindi forest and many other activities.
Gorilla mist lodge consists of 12 beautiful grass-thatched Bandas that are well decorated and furnished. The lodge has luxury rooms with privacy and tranquility whereby each room has en suite private facilities like flushing toilets, mosquito nets, and hot running showers/bathtubs. Rooms are well equipped with Satellite, TVs, extinguishers and other facilities. Rooms have wooden balconies and verandas to relax in while enjoying the flora and fauna around the park . The lodge has a good breathtaking view environment. Excellent and comfortable clean beddings. There are fireplaces at the lodge that provides warmth to visitors at the lodges. Rooms are in different categories; single, double and triple rooms and rooms cost 200$ per night and above.
