Kampala district is also the largest city in Uganda, also known as the pearl of Africa. Kampala is not only the capital city of Uganda but also the largest and the busiest city in Uganda. Kampala sits on an area of about 8451 square kilometers. Uganda has an estimated population of about 2 million people, dwelling only in the central city. However, the entire district of Kampala has an estimated fast-growing population of about seven million, by 2019, according to the Uganda statistic bureau. Kampala district of Uganda is divided into five boroughs including Kampala central division, Kawempe Division, Makindye Division, Nakawa Division, and Rubaga division; these are the major administrative constituencies of Kampala district. Kampala district is neighboring Mukono district in the east, Buikwe district, Luweero district, and wakiso district in the south, north and the west. Kampala district is reported to be among the fast-growing cities in Africa, with about 4.03% population growth rate. It is also among the best cities to live in east Africa followed by Nairobi in Kenya and Kigali in Rwanda.

However, English is also a known language and language barrier is eliminated from Kampala. Transport means of Kampala
The most used transport means in Kampala are the fast or quick boda bodas or local motor bikes, safe boda is the most used motorbike transport company used in Kampala, however there are others like taxify, bolt, and uber among others. The motor bikes are famous because they are the most convenient transportations means and can reach anywhere in town. The boda boda re also used to cut the tight traffic jam during the rush hours in Kampala. However, the motorbikes are not o safe and the drivers drive recklessly, so it is important to always wear a helmet. Besides the boda bodas, the taxis, similar to the matatus of Kenya and the mini buses of Rwanda, are the ones used by the people going to work in the morning and the school children and students in Kampala. The taxis stage at the different stop overs in the city, however they can also stop anywhere and pick you when you call for one. The taxi conductors use signs to signal to the people where they are going, so it is good to understand the different signs if at all you are coing to stay in Kampala for longer. There are also the pioneer buses which transport people as a cheap cost compared to the bodas and the taxis. However, receipt system of the pioneer buses is one of the most appropriate public transport systems in Kampala. You can choose any transport means to use while in Uganda however, do not forget to fall all the safety precautions, like wearing a helmet.
