Adere Safari Lodge is a mid-range accommodation near Kidepo Valley national park in the North-Eastern part of Uganda. You can be at the hotel by either road transport through Gulu and Kitgum or by air transport from Entebbe to kidepo savannah lodge. It takes approximately (604km) 9hrs 24minutes drive from Kampala to Kidepo national park and 2hr 15 minutes flight from Entebbe International Airport to the park. Kidepo valley national park is found in the north east near Karenga in the Kaabongo district Karamoja region in Uganda. The park occupies a total area of 1,442km squared. The park lies between Uganda’s border with Sudan a Kenya just 700 km from kampala. Kidepo valley national park is rugged savannah, hills and Narus valley .it is dominated by the 2,750 metres Mount Morungole and transected by the Kidepo and Narus rivers. Kidepo valley national park has few different accommodations; budget, mid-range, and luxury accommodation. The park has various animals over 86 species of which include elephants, buffaloes, lion even some tree climbing lions in savannah grounds, zebras both black and white, antelopes, cheetahs, spotted hyenas e.t.c. and 463 different bird species like; the Kori bustard, Abyssinian ground hornbill, secretary bird, ostrich, carmine, yellow-billed and Jackson’s hornbills, and some ostriches. March to April is the best time to be in kidepo national park for the variety of animal species migrating to look for food.
The local communities around the park are pastoral Karamojong people which are similar to the Maasai of Kenya. While in kidepo you can do different activities which include; game viewing in the vast savannah, you spot variety of animals like;herds of cape buffaloes, African elephant, cheeters, lions and other animals, hot spring visit in kanangorok and kidepo valley, nature walks in the park community visits in the local village of Karamoja (traditional dances), hiking mount morungule, bird watching since the park has different bird species and many more activities.
Adele safari lodge contains over 15 luxury spacious rooms with grass-thatched roofs that are well decorated and furnished. The lodge has luxury rooms with privacy and tranquility whereby each room has en suite private facilities like flushing toilets , mosquito nets, and hot running showers/bathtubs. Rooms are well equipped with Satellite, TVs, extinguishers and other facilities. Rooms have wooden balconies and verandas you relax in while enjoying the flora and fauna and savannah landscape around the park . The lodge has a good breathtaking view environment. Rooms at the lodge have excellent and comfortable king-sized beddings. There are fireplaces at the lodge that provides warmth to visitors at the lodges. Rooms are in different categories; single, double and triple rooms and rooms cost 250$ per night and above.
