On 27 the November 2020, Uganda wildlife authority announced the news about the festive season discounted gorilla trekking permits. The discounts came as a promotion for both local and foreign visitors aimed at improving the number of tourists who want to engage in gorilla trekking activity during this festive season and they are as follows,
- Foreign non resident gorilla trekking permits were reduced from USD 700 to USD 400 per person
- foreign resident gorilla trekking permits were reduced from USD 600 to USD 300 per person
- East African citizen gorilla trekking permits were reduced from UGX 250,000 to UGX 150,000 per person.
The discounted gorilla trekking permits promotion started from 1st December 2020 and will end on 31st march 2021.
