But now with the mass vaccination, great reduction in severity of COVID 19 cases, the world or rather the “outside” is beginning to open up. As businesses and routines resume, there has been a high pressure and need to compensate for lost work hours and productivity. As much as you may not want to admit it, this work overload has left your fragile body brittle, fatigued and in desperate need of a vacation. - 3 Days Lake Bunyonyi Tour
This is a trip to Kabale district in western Uganda where there is a scenic crater lake, that is believed to be the deepest in Africa, surrounded by terraced hillsides. This tour is bound to give you a taste of the soft life, beautiful scenery and a holistic sense of relaxation.
On day one you will set off to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale on a 7 hour drive from Kampala to arrive in the late afternoon at the luxury safari lodge of your choice, Arcadia Cottages Lake Bunyonyi or Lake Bunyonyi Overland Resort. After the long drive, you will have time off to check-in, unpack your bags, take a shower if you wish you and relax as you wait for a scrumptious dinner and call it a day.
On day two you will wake up, not too early, and have breakfast before you set out for a guided nature hike through the villages in the surrounding hills, meeting some locals and enjoying breath taking reviews of the Lake, islands and hills. You will later return to the lodge for lunch and refreshments. Shortly after you can engage in a boat cruise or canoe ride to vist some of the historial islands on the lake such as Akampeine island which is also known locally as the punishment island where young pregnant and unmarried girls were taken and dumped as punishment for their fornication and left there to die, the Bwama and Njuyeera Island where missionary Dr. Leonard Sharp founded a leper colony, and the Kyahugye island where you will find some wildlife including and not limited to Zebras, Impala, Kobs, and Waterbucks. You will then return to the lodge for dinner and a chill evening.
On day three, you will wake up at leisure, have breakfast, pack you bags and set off on a 7 hour drive to Kampala through Mbarara where you will have lunch.
This is meant to be a chill and relaxing trip within a relaxing environment with minimal activities and plenty of time to relax and enjoy your new environment.
- 3 Days Kidepo Flying Wildlife Safari
Perhaps you are not a fan of long drives that will leave you exhausted on your vacation but yet you still want to have a new experience. Book a 3 day trip to Kidepo Valley National Park. This trip is designed to eliminate road exhaustion and maximum vacation time.
On day one, you will depart from Entebbe International Airport (EBB) aboard a scheduled domestic Aerolink flight on either a Wednesday or Friday or a Sunday at 1230hours to arrive at 1445hours. During this 2 hour flight you will have an aerial view of the beautiful Northern region of Uganda before you arrive at Apoka Airfield in Kaboong where your travel guide who will double as your driver, will be waiting to pick you up and transfer you to your booked Safari lodge for your lavish lunch. Thereafter, you will embark on an afternoon game drive to explore the remarkable landscape of the Narus Valley which is a home for a wide range of game including, but not limited to, herds of African elephants , African buffaloes, Jackson’s Hartebeest. You will then return to the lodge for a nice dinner and relaxed evening.
On day two the day will begin with breakfast at the lodge then proceed with a morning game drive in the vast Savannah of Kidepo Valley and enjoying the stunning views of the hills of Lomei, Lotukei and the Morungole range in the southern border of Kidepo Valley National Park. Later in the day you will have lunch at the lodge then proceed to the South Sudan Border to visit and enjoy the relaxing hot springs where you can also view some Ostriches. Dinner will be served at the end of the day at the Lodge.
On day three, you will wake up at leisure, have breakfast then go on morning drive if you wish to take another chance to see some animals you had missed out on the previous days or choose to relax at the lodge as you pack up for your return journey. Lunch will be served in the afternoon, and you will be transferred to Apoka airfield for you return flight to Entebbe International Airport.
